This road is now blocked permanently. There’s a big pile of rocks and dirt blocking the way. People were parking at the barrier and walking the 5 km to the lagunas.

Barrier is the gated entrance to the Lagunas. It is open to enter (for around 3000 CLP) between 9:00 - 17:00 (as per the sign). So its open during the day but certainly not at night.

Came here in March around 16:30 Pm. Could pass without problem. Road was dry but very sandy so difficult for motorcycle. No problem for cars, preferably 4WD.
Beautiful lagunas, amazing scenery. 3000 pp, 2500 for students.

Road blocked by barrier. Started to walk but locals drove by and told us hiking is not allowed either. They did not know the reason for the closure. The park is managed by the local community - maybe the just did not bother opening up...?!

Access to the lagoons was open. Lots of tour visit the place

Currently closed for all traffic due to snow. Even hiking is not allowed. According to the guards it will take at least 10-14 days more from now until they open again.

Barrier blocking road to Laguna Miskanti. No way around for cars (& motorbikes). Locked from 18:30 to 8:00. Some kms further up they charge 3000.- p.P. Overnight staying at Laguna prohibited. We recommend to visit the beautiful Laguna further south (colourful & Flamingoes) and rather wind protected camp at 23.92469 S / 67.66190 W
