Taking FRS ferries from Tarifa to Tangier.
once you board the ferry you see passport control on board to get a stamp, join the huge line at the end of the crossing and the rush through any stragglers.
After you disembark, proceed to first passport check and then vehicle import and inspections. Be sure to get the credit card sized temporary vehicle import card and keep it for leaving Morocco. You will also need this for purchasing vehicle insurance for Morocco which is mandatory.
Once you've cleared the inspection, find somewhere to park before leaving the Port gates, there is a large are to park immediately to your right when the let you past the inspection area. (Drones are not aloud in Morocco without a permit) There is an ATM in the car park that only cost 35D per transaction.
You can buy Insurance and exchange cash in the Gate Maritime building. The insurance broker speaks fluently in French and English. I paid 920D for 1 month for a long wheel Sprinter campervan with Canadian plates.
Sim cards can be got from any shop or street side hustler for cheap.
