Good place to camp. If you park your car close to this wall of stones, you're not really visible from the main road. Great sunset! The road to this place is good, great for any car. Safe and quiet, we recommend it.

Nice flat area next to the road - it's not like 100% invisible from the road, but with playing around you could hide a bit better - anyway, we had a quiet night here.

Beautiful views, also an old fire pit. A bit bumpy acces but could fit big rigs I guess.

We arrived in the afternoon in Socaire to buy tickets to know the lagoons and Salar, but now you need to make the prior reservation through the Municipality website. We bought it for the next day, and then we came to this point for the afternoon and night. We slept here in 4 cars, all with space and on flat ground. Fantastic sunset !!! Very quiet night, no wind, but cold, even in December (we got 1 degree in the morning).

Chegamos à tarde em Socaire para comprar ingressos para conhecer as Lagunas e o Salar, mas agora você necessita fazer a reserva prévia pelo site da municipalidad. Compramos para o dia seguinte, e então viemos para esse ponto para passar a tarde e a noite. Dormimos aqui em 4 carros, todos com espaço e em terreno plano. Pôr do sol fantástico!!! Noite muito tranquila, sem vento, mas fria, mesmo em dezembro (pegamos 1 grau pela manhã)!

Perfect place for a night. Very quiet, hidden for the road and protected from the wind. No signal phone (Movistar, Claro, Wom).

Nice view on the Salar, great sunset and sunrise. A bit hidden from the road. Windy when we were there. Bumby to get down the track, but no problem with our 2WD van.

Beautiful spot with a view on the salar and the mountains. Some shelter from the wind. One thing to add: people, please take your trash and dirty toilet paper back with you when you leave, to preserve nature and maintain the beauty of the place for the next ones to come ! Thanks !!

Really nice spot, good wind protection, quiet and great sky at night. Has some pircas(rock piles) marking the entrance. Please, bring a shovel and dig your toilet, some nasty toilet paper around already.

Amazing spot to stay for a night ! Close to the road but really hide. The sunset on the valley is incredible, the light on the Volcano. We did a small fire to cook and to get some heat because it’s little bit cold during the night (we brought some wood from san pedro). Really quiet and calm ! Available for 2w

Spectacular spot in the desert, hidden from the road with a flat area for several tents, and some hills that make great wind protection. No wind for us though, and two of us slept outdoors on the truck-bed.
Bring some woods with you (easy to collect around the road towards the camping), we built up a big firepit.
No 4x4 needed, no worries. ~3700m.

Sheltered and you can pitch the tent hidden from the road on a sandy patch. Lovely sunset and sunrise, nice campsite.

Decent wind protection behind a large arc of gravel on the western side of the road. Stunning views of the Atacama and mountains to the east. Not easily visible from the highway.

Vizcachas and vicuñas in the área. Vizcachas woke us several times during the night. Convenient camp site if you plan on climbing in the Socaire canyon.

Beautiful Spot between socaire and the turn off to the lagunas miscanti and miñiques (9km away) Hidden from the road, Perfect view over the valley and the volcanoes. Quiet, free, awesome! 3722m high. Leveled parking.
