Did not stop us going through or coming back. We live on the area and checkpoints around Playa have been easy and minimal information needed. Just be friendly :)

It's been a terrible check point for us, no problem in the end, but they couldn't find us in their system, neither our friend (so 2 vehicles, didnt enter at the same date/place, so it was their system problem), so they had to arrest us, bring us at the migration station, and we had to loose 6 hours in their office. officers have been nice to us, they even let our friends bring their cat inside the office cause it was really hot outside and let us order food as well.
In the end, they found out our name were not spelled the right way in their system, and our friends had been victims of corrupted border officer, but the migration office saw they were not responsible, and arrange their file in the system.
We loose a day, but everything is fine in the end!!

We got pulled over. Two police officers checked the van from inside and checked the documents. One of them took photos of all documents and the license plate.
In the end I asked the officer about the reason of this inspection. He says they are checking for drugs, weapons and if the car is stolen.

After passing the place 8 times this month, got pulled over for the first time. Simple check, want to take a look inside the combi and asked some general questions. No big deal.
