Parked close by in the Putt Putt parking lot. No issues at all, cop even drove through the lot and didn’t say a thing. I would still advise being as stealthy as possible. I don’t think overnight camping is explicitly allowed but as long as you don’t give them a reason to kick you out, they’ll turn a blind eye. Most bathrooms open up at 10am, although Cafe Du Monde opens at 8 I believe. Stop in, use the bathroom, by some beignets. You won’t regret it

Overnight parking is prohibited as per the park website. We were about to turn away when we saw 4 vans in front of the art museum. We decided to stay the night with them anyway. We stayed 2 nights without any problem. Polices were passing by without stopping...

First of all let me say that this is one of the best city parks we have been to. when we arrived we saw several other RVs and one said he had been there 5 days. We parked near them and took our electric bike down to the French Quarter for the day. only about 15 minutes away. Then came back and enjoyed the park. About 6 a large class A came up and parked in about 4 parking spots. About 5 minutes later the police came and politely asked us all to move on. I think this place is still a viable option just spread out. Definitely a great place to park for the day.

We were informed by a police officer that there is no overnight parking allowed in the city park anymore. :(

As advertised. I parked on the street next to Cafe, which is just next to parking lot of museum. very quiet spot, especially for a city. I had a good night if rest. I would certainly feel comfortable doing this spot for multiple nights. And grea
t location for visiting city

We camped in our van for 5 nights, a few on the street in front of the Art Museum with a view of the swan boat pond. And a couple nights next to the Cafe Du Monde because the clean bathroom inside was much cleaner/nicer than the public ones across the swan boat pond. Both were fantastic. Quiet (the museum road is a bit quieter) and lovely surroundings. The sculpture garden is not to be missed. We did refill some small water jugs at a water fountain near by

Great spot with plenty of parking after the museum closes. Right in the middle of so much to see and do - I'll definitely be back!

We stayed there 3 nights. We parked close to cafe dumonde in a parking lot with big space for our rv 24ft. It’s energy and it’s too much safe. We stayed closed to the rangers and the guys told us that everything ok overnight there. We really declined

Gorgeous park. Stayed five nights no problem. Gets pretty busy in the morning and during the day but almost everyone leaves when the suns sets. Bathrooms inside the sculpture park next to the museum (usually open 10am-5pm, currently closed for virus reasons). On Friedrichs ave there’s a small rest area with bathrooms, picnic tables and outlets.

Police pulled up at around 6:30 closing it down. Every entrance to the park. We came back around 8:30 to find them still there and they said if we didn’t move we’d be towed. (We are here around Marti Gras so idk if that has something to do with it.) UPDATE: it was parade closings.

Nice park next to museum. Close to street car, Cafe duMonde and kids playground. Felt safe and enjoyed so much that we stayed 3 nights.

Free, unrestricted parking on the drive in front of the New Orleans Museum of Art. Inside the city park, so it’s a beautiful spot and very quiet at night. Has café du monde nearby (haven’t been but people seem to like it). Most importantly, has NOMA by it (open Tuesday-Saturday).

Any size vehicle could fit here.
