Brunei
We traveled from Malaysia to Brunei. The total process took about an hour, 15 minutes for Malaysia, 45 minutes for Brunei.
Immigration in both countries was done in a matter of seconds,we got 90 days in Brunei.
In Malaysia we showed the Carnet, nobody asked for the ICP. Malaysian customs spoiled a Carnet page.
In Brunei a superficious vehicle inspection was done. We then got a VES, a multiple vehicle entry document valid for 3 months. You can also create a VES yourself in advance on the internet. www.4ever2wherever.com gives details.

We crossed the border from Brunei to Malaysia. The process took about 1 hour per country. We had stored our vehicle in Brunei for over 2 years (during Corona). Nobody cared, but we needed to register in the new EES system, costs BND 6. In Malaysia most time was used for Corona tests and paperwork. Note that they have no ICPs at the border. We were told to get it from the road department in Miri. We went there and after 2 hours waiting we learned that they don't have it there either. After some calling of bosses we were told our CdP was sufficient.
