Latest Check-Ins

This was our second time staying here. It’s a beautiful desert landscape with views and cacti all around. Camping is allowed both in and outside the Wildlife Refuge boundaries. We found the perfect spot before the refuge with a large cactus and fire pit. There are many large flat areas to choose from and plenty of privacy. We took the quick hike to the palm viewpoint in the canyon. AT&T worked well.

This place is wonderfull. True peace. Very clean. Attentive ranger. Lotts of space and spots. Road easily passable. No guns or atvs at this location.

Report Check-In

Perfectly passable road. Some washboard, but nothing that you can’t get past. Traveling in a 25 foot school bus rattle the bed but definitely doable. Verizon cell service is about two bars. The walk to the canyon is a nice little hike. Definitely worth seeing!

Nice flat large space just off the road on the way to Palm Canyon. Quiet. Dark at night beautiful view of the mountains no neighbors easy to get to. Fire rings. I would definitely stay here again. Nice dirt road on the way off the highway to here. Washboard in a few places, but nothing major. I came in a camper van no problem.

We stayed two nights with beautiful views and cacti all around. Camping is allowed both in and outside the Wildlife Refuge boundaries and we found the perfect spot for us just before the refuge. There are lots of large flat areas and plenty of privacy. We did not see any wildlife but did mountain bike and there is hiking as well. Some other campers but not crowded at all.

We really enjoyed this location. Many large flat spots for our 21’ travel trailer away from the highway noise. Lovely hikes, some via 4x4. Quartzsite only minutes away for supplies.

Report Check-In

Wide dirt/gravel road for All size rigs, many spots along a 7 mile stretch to Palm Canyon which is a short hike at end of road. day use ATV ‘s , nights peaceful, beautiful sunsets

Report Check-In

Absolutely enjoyed this area. A hiking trail at the end. Naive, fairly level camping spots along the road. There is traffic along the road during the day, due to OHV use and the hiking trail at the end. But night time is quiet, with beautiful sunsets.

Report Check-In

Very nice and epic sunsets, peaceful and not high in population.

Report Check-In

Tons of space along the 7 mile long road. The road is passable in any vehicle. We took our low clearance sedan all the way to the parking lot at the end. The road has some rough washboard in spots. The first part of the road is BLM, then you enter Kofa NWR land. 14 day camping limit for both. There is a camp host on the Kofa side. Better views in Kofa, but better Verizon/AT&T coverage closer to 95.

Report Check-In

Lots of spaces between 95 and park entrance. Park has host, 14 day limit. Beautiful mountain views. limited internet, 1 bar Verizon with poor data.
