Description

Guesthouse, restaurant and shop run by a German charity with rooms and a dorm.

Restaurant serves lots of tasty local vegan and vegetarian food- so many options on the menu, and you have to try their delicious fresh juices. Most products come from their own organic farm.

They have a cool gift shop with a great variety of handmade, fair trade products, as well as tailors & fabric onsite so you can get clothes made.

Our room was small with a fan at a good price for 85GHS per night. Rooms are 1-2 stories away from the toilet & shower which we didn’t really mind. It had fantastic views of the seaside and the town.

On top of all of this, the money goes to a good cause. You should read up about it online/in their pamphlets, but basically all of the revenue from the inn and gift shop go into vocational training for local youth. A bunch of these students are the employees.
Location couldn’t be better.

It’s a charity. How can one complain about higher prices without considering the cause behind it? If you stay here you should know that your money is to support children in need. Food is very good and absolutely worth the extra cents. It’s vegetarian and vegan.
Perfect place, safe parking for bicycles or 1-2 small (!) motorbikes in the closed yard.

decent dorms in cape coast. 6 bed dorms without toilets. toilets are downstairs on the first floor, which is a bit annoying. 65cedis per bed. food in the restaurant is nice but a bit overpriced compared to the outside restaurant. In the evening, jist outside the supermarket , a red tent pops up where they serve jollof rice for 25 and 30cedis. decent quantity, price and food

Super cool place! Good location.
Clean dormitory for 65 cedi.
Very inspiring! Delicious and affordable food, mostly made from products from their garden, for example home-made tofu!
A good cause to support!

Paid 130cedis for a double room.
Room is simple, with ceiling fan and ocean views. Also great vegetarian food - prices range between 30-50cedis and portions are generous and tasty.
Location is great- 2 mins walking distance to castle.
Staff is very nice.
Shared Showers and toilets are good and clean.
The only issue we had was that we paid 70 cedis to handwash our clothes and we felt they were not washed properly.. still smelly and dirty after the washing.

On that note, the customer service is very good- the staff are friendly and prompt. The room we had was very small but just fine for our purposes. It was 2 stories away from the toilet & shower which we didn’t really mind. It had fantastic views of the seaside and the town. There is a really cute second story terrace with great views where we sat, and I’m sure you could eat there if you speak to the staff. In fact I recommend it because their usual dining room is open and children come by asking for money often.
Our complaints with this place are the musty smelling towels and the musty bed. We also got a ton of unknown bug bites over night! And a very fishy smell wafts in through the windows sometimes. Oh also they say there is wifi but we couldn’t connect.
Otherwise great.
Would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable room, great vegetarian/vegan food options and want to support s good cause.
