Something not right?

Description

There are a couple places with free 24 hour parking on the beach side of corniche road with Palm trees and newly planted shrubs. The walking/bike trail goes by here, and just a few steps to the beach. McDonald's and Starbucks nearby.

Several cars spent the night.

A bit noisy in the evening (park closer to beach a little quieter).

No one bothered us.

A really nice local guy with decent English told is about all there great wild places to visit between here and Jordan.

Report Check-In

Place is permanently closed. No parking on gravel area possible anymore.

Report Check-In

This place is closed. They are building a huge waterfront area at the moment. I don’t know if there will be parking opportunities in the future but there are a lot of other parking possibilities at the corniche.

We've been standing here for a couple of days, very exposed with awning, camouflage net and chairs outside. While the day this lot is nearly empty, which changes, when the sun goes down. The complete lot filled up quickly and people celebrated every night until the morning with loud music, loud horns and loud engines. People and also police (which comes along 5-8 times a day) were very, very friendly and interested in us. Nobody felt disturbed and we got food, ice and some drinks here and there.
I would say it's one of the "most living" places at the "New Corniche", but also the one, with the nicest bigger trees and therefore quite nice shadows.
This place is not for people who are searching for a calm nights. It is just impossible (but what do you do for some shadow, when it's 38°C outside? ;) )
At 21:30 the fireworks started, which looked very nice. The way to the beautiful and tidy beach is near, there are a supermarket and some retaurants just a few hundred meters away, as well as a MC Donald. 350m away there's a paid toilet, but the waitress took our water cans and filled it up for free
