We are obviously a foreign vehicle (big sticker at the front), they did not stop us.

At the time we passed through here there was only police presence going northbound. They weren’t stopping anyone, just having a look at plates as vehicles slowly drove by and they seemed pretty disinterested. Did not get stopped here.

Just passed this checkpoint, and like almost all checkpoints we were friendly waved at without the need to stop. We heard earlier that if you get a fine, you indeed receive a paper mentioning you can't be fined for the same thing again. So rather unlucky with the polices state of mind, instead of corrupt in case of the story below...

Still there but we found a way to avoid them: driving north, exit right before the bridge and re enter the highway right after the bridge :)

Charged us 9000 Peso for no light,

But was in special offer ... 50% discount by creditcard, if we would have payed directly,
Or sadly 100% if we pay later at the border

and if we pay right now than we can have a document that proves that we already have payed and are not chargeable again for the same thing in the whole country, of course with bill and documentation ... ;)

We choose to pay „everything at the border“ instead of getting the ultra-discount,
2 Minutes later they returned and told us that they spoke with the Boss and decided together to only today let us go without payment and dont wonna destroy our nice Roadtrip. ...
