Malawi
Campground on a former missionpost, there's a huge tent good to 5000 people it's for hire for groups and church things. We were here on a sunday and there was a concert ( that's how we heard it) lots a halleluja's. We didn't take a look but itwas possible. Got a key from a cottage for toilet and cold shower use. Paid 2000 mkw pp
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Not a bad spot but definitely take earplugs. Many dogs barking and howling through the night!!
Report Check-In3000 K pp under new management. if they open a bungalow for toilet and shower then its good. The ablutionsblock is not so nice. Very nice and welcoming people.
Report Check-In2000 pppn, quiet and OK for a stop if you need to go to Blantyre. Ablutions a bit run down.
Report Check-InLarge grassy campsite with terraces offering flat camping pitches under the shade of large trees (large enough to put up a rooftent under). Ablutions in a large bright and airy building, not immaculately clean by any means, but OK. Hot showers seem to be available when there isn’t a power cut. Under cover area available for cooking, etc. No braai facilities but the ever so friendly manager is so eager to please and to make you feel welcome that I’m sure he would do his utmost to accommodate any requests.
Only real downside is that it is in the heart of a busy urban area, so ear plugs are essential if you want any hope of sleeping!
Now MKW3,000 pppn. Still a good price and worth it if you need to stop over in Blantyre.
Very friendly manager and many pitches that are quite level. ablutions were from a nearby room. Cold shower. camping 2000 pppn. No facilities. Much noise from the street and the bar on the premises. Still the best option in town I suppose.
Report Check-InWe stayed in Malo and were happy about the very warm welcome from the manager. Blantyre and Limbe however have sever troubles with power and water and hence we had none for 1 full day. They brought us water in buckets from somewhere else. We enjoyed the stay in particular at is located at the foot of Mt Soche which is an awesome hike, say 1 to 2 hours return.

Report Check-InToday the showers are hot. But it is raining. So we took a room for 12.000 MKW.
