Continue on the road where there is a check point (no sign for camping area) and you will find a small village called El Abiar. There's a beautiful oasis by the village with a river. People are happy to see cyclists and are very helpful. No problem for camping on the grass. It was a nice day and a quiet night. You can get water from the stream for washing but not for drinking I think. Enjoy
