Description

If you take the gravel road off the highway, after the big lot, you get nicer spots.
First : Parking near a pit toilet.
Second : Parking at the actual trailhead. It is a nice little hike btw. You could probably cool down in the water in the summer.
Third : After the trailhead there is another dirt road that gets you to nicer spots with fire rings.

Latest Check-Ins

Road was a little rough but passable in our 2wd van up until the sandy creek with a steep climb on the other side. There are a few spots before the creek that are fairly level. Lots of cows but no issues with them. And the best part - pretty sweet trail with a nice river just a quarter mile away!

Report Check-In

Road conditions are good to enter, there were some puddles so it may not be the best with lots of rain. It was very quiet with a few other people parked for the night. A toilet towards the highway. Trails to explore into the hills. The area is clean with no garbage spread around. Free.

great spot near the trail head. turn right off the road at the top of the trail head parking loop for a couple sites with fire rings. the short drive down was better and less dusty than most roads ive been on lately. got my 30ft skoolie down here easy.

Didn’t stay the night but looked like a quiet decent place to stay. Took the short hike to the wash and it did still have some water flowing through.

Took my shuttle bus a half mile in, just past the first pit toilets and found a giant lot with no one in it, good pull offs all around. Super gentle dirt road, no need to have 4x4 unless you go deeper in. Little to no highway noise. Close to hiking trails.

Beware of cow herds that pass through at sundown, several with large horns. Didn’t bother me at all.

kinda busy during the day. really nice trail and probably a really fun hike after some good rainfall. clean, very little trash, and I got good signal out there.

Would not bring RV here but small vehicles no problem. Pulled in T 8pm and had it to myself.
