We stayed here for 4 nights while working an event at State Farm Stadium. It is convenient to that venue. The other reviews are spot on. Buckeye is a nice town with good roads and parks. I don't think the bathrooms were cleaned while we were there but the trash was emptied. The petting zoo on the road to the campground was terrific!
Report Check-InVery well kept. All spots were occupied or reserved. Signage and website say gates are locked at 10p.m. We parked overnight in the horse trailer parking area, free. Off season disadvantage was that the restrooms are locked.
Report Check-InNice little campground. Very quiet at night and great sky view. My only issue here was that I had reserved and paid online but when I got there someone was in my space and there were no updates on the sites to show that someone had reserved. It wasn't an issue because it wasn't crowded but could have been. My advice would be to get there early if possible and pay after you get your site vs reserving a space. As others have said this is a busy hiking location during the day but super quiet at night. Close to amenities in Buckeye including the public library which has wifi and a Planet Fitness in town along with grocery stores, etc....
Report Check-InVery pretty park but busy with hikers. Paved road all the way there. Nice toilets and nice big level spots!
Report Check-InReally attractive park with a nice network of well marked trails and 7 spacious campsites. There is drop-in camping as they call it where you can take an available spot and pay in the drop box by cash or check $20. Of the site is reserved, it will indicate that on the campsite post. If you'd like a reservation, it has to be at least 72 hours before you plan to arrive. Flush toilets but no water available. Each of the 3 nights we've stayed we've been the only ones in the whole park at night!!!
Report Check-InSuper clean, new county park. $20 a night, no hookups, FCFS during covid. We were 1 or 2 campers for 7 lots in December.
Great for a few days. Plenty of hiking and biking trails. Lots of day use people, but camp sites are large and fairly private. We really enjoyed it for some R+ R. Ten minute to town but you feel far away.
Report Check-InCity of Buckeye small 7 site campground with fine gravel/dirt and smooth concrete portions sites - no water, no power, no dump. $20: FcFs registration envelope at entry box at bottom by lock (strange), accepts checks. Online reservation option. OK signal. Fairly quiet after day users leave, but could be loud generator(s). Did not notice air traffic. Connected to very popular day use area that is open from sunrise to sunset. Has ADA educational trail and other hiking trails. Trash cans and bathroom. 12/18/20
Report Check-InSeven long, gravel, fairly level tent/RV sites each with picnic table and fire ring. Site A is ADA Compliant. Reservations handled through the City of Buckeye’s website but drop ins pay using envelope and lockbox. Clean restrooms on site and day use parking - lots of hikers; tons of trails. No dump station, showers, dumpster, or potable water available. No drinking fountains except for one horse fountain in horse trailer lot. Cell signal OK but data is spotty. Close to shopping center, medical services, hardware store. Near Luke Air Force Base - lots of loud jets flying over. Scenery worth the sound though.
