This is a very cold & windy but cool spot. I wouldn't camp here because I don't like the cold. Also the park police told me I could roll down the mountain while sleeping. 🤣

Tough hike, but so worth it! Took us 7 hours there and back.

The way up to the Malinche took us four hours (for 6.1 km) and back three hours. It was a tough cookie!

Amazing hike through beautiful forests and then up the open slopes of the volcano. Wouldn't recommend doing it on a Saturday though unless you leave early. I started at 6:30am and was mostly alone the whole way up, but coming down I crossed hundreds and hundreds of hikers.

Really awesome hike and a worthwhile effort to get to the summit. Great views of Puebla, Tlaxcala, and the Popo and Ixta volcanos.

I powered it up to the top in 3 hours, but I had already slept 3 nights above 3,000m. I would give at least 4-5 hours to the top and another 2.5 hours down.
