Description

Very nice campsite set in the bush with lots of birds and jackals calling at night. Amazing when you think how close to Gaborone you are. 2 or 3 camp sites amongst ready erected tents. Pool (and bar at weekends), also breakfast served (we didn’t check it out), no other meals. Use Google maps or map.me to enter from Phakalane (don’t believe the directions from other starting points). Some dirt road but mainly tarred. Can be noisy at weekends. Good supermarkets etc in Phakalane. We paid P300 per night with Land Rover and Caravan. Call or WhatsApp

The place definitely needs some TLC - but it is up on the market for sale. Some Americans from the Baptist church been here during my stay, taking videos etc. They want to take over the place and turn it into a Baptist church venue with kids camps, pastors camps etc. But the campsite should be still open … so maybe better to check what’s going on before going here.

Otherwise the place isn’t up to standard, needs repair here and there. Gate not working, power plugs at the campsite not all operational, no gas for hot shower - but the electricity ones work (but need to switch on the heater first), they don’t provide toilet paper - so better bring your own :-)) no dustbins at the campsite. The swimming pool hasn’t seen chlorine for a while …

There are three tennis courts - in good conditions. Bring your racquets :-))

Did book via booking and it was really cheap. Paid 118 Pula for 1 night. Otherwise it’s 150 pppn.

Wifi at the lapa, wifi does not reach the campsite. Good signal with Mascom

Good spot for camping, nice nature escape - especially so close to Gabs. Helpful owners, especially on recommendations onwards. Decent ablutions, small pool, good wifi but need to be up by the main building. On directions - google maps should work - just note Road to get there is a mix of gravel and paved (takes about 15 mins) from main turnoff. 500p for 2ppl self-camp.

Nice warm, tranquil atmosphere, we've been really welcomed, despite not having booked.
Birdsongs, sun and nature.
We were looking for an alternative to the Mokolodi GR campsite, which would've been another hour to drive from Nata. Very secure. We followed Google Maps, no problem.
P 350 for two.

Camp sites were empty. Dustbins provided and electricity. Abolutions very clean and water hot. Pula 150p.p.. Pool not cleaned full of leaves. Most maps took us the wrong way, better to enter from polokwane area or if you get to the gravel road next to plots 1 onwards keep driving straight until you get to plot 69

Only 2 campsites possibly 3 depending on the tented camp bookings as the campsites are amongst the tented camps. Noise pollution from the bar is disturbing. Campsites have electricity. No water points or dustbins are available at campsites.
Ablutions are clean with hot and cold water. Washing up facilities have cold water only. Pretty difficult to locate.

Report Check-In

Campsites are relatively secluded and located in between the tented camps away from the chalets. However, the restaurant and bar are in close proximity to the campsites and the noise pollution is disturbing. Campsites have electricity and no water point or dustbins are provided. Ablutions are clean. Washing up facilities only has cold water.

Campsites are located in between tented camps away from the chalets and are relatively secluded. However, the campsites are in close proximity to the restaurant and bar. The noise pollution from the bar is disturbing, which is a pity as it ruins the bush feel. Campsites have electricity but has no water point other than at the ablutions. Campsites don’t have dustbins and we had a bit of cleaning up to do prior to setting up. Ablutions are clean. Washing up facilities only have cold water.

Nice campsite that got hit by a severe storm the week before. Lights and permanent tents got damaged. Owner seemed quite devastated, so not much had been done in terms of restoration. We still had a good and quiet 2 night stay in our campervan. P150/ppn.

rate is 150.- pp. maximum per campsite is 450.-pula.
