Old Al Ula clay houses. Now open for tourists. There’s a “restaurant lane” behind the clay houses, but places seemed to be rather expensive.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Place is already open for tourists, although restoration works are still ongoing. Don’t expect an authentic old village, the whole place does indeed feel a bit like a theme park. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Everything is nicely lit up in the evening as well.
There’s a good vantage point over the village from the Al Ula fort, sitting on a rocky outcrop in the center of the village.
