Something not right?

Description

By far the best pullout directly along the Lost Coast. It comes with a nice grassy knoll, a private path to the beach (no fence to climb over like the other pullouts), and a view of devils gate. What more could you ask for?

The road from the north is absolute shit sandwhich. You will break your vans ass if you go 20mph 😂

Great area, several pull offs. I stayed slightly north of here on the west side of the road between two hills to avoid the wind. Make sure your car is roadworthy as this road is not car worthy... North side was a really beautiful road but pavement was really bad. South side pavement was better, a lot more people and communities and steeper grades. I'm still glad I did it, it feels like your personal beach while you're there! No bathrooms anywhere nearby and you're always visible to the road as well. If there was more camping off the 101 this probably wouldn't be worth it

Great spot, but the 20 miles of road getting here are very rough. Would likely not come back out for a one night stay

pretty epic spot. easy access to the beach (we saw seals on the left side of the big rocks). very nice sunset. just a we got mostly level.

Super beautiful, but extremely windy. No cell. Starlink worked well.

great spot, though I was misled thinking the pull off would be on the grassy knoll. it's a pull off just off the road (remember to orient your vehicle so that your bed is opposite of the road!). easy beach access was awesome as there are tide pools to explore. 1 hr from Ferndale (which was worth a couple hours to explore!), 1.5 hrs the next day to hwy 101 (with some small communities en route that I wasn't too compelled to stop in). Logging/tree maintenance traffic on the road until 9 PM or so. 10/10 spot.

This pull out definitely has the best view. The traffic was minimal after 10pm. Although it was quite windy, I didn't lose sleep. If you're in a van or RV, I suggest driving in from the South. The road is much better.

The best pullout! If you can get here early enough to catch the sunset, do it!! Very quiet and a beautiful view.
