Really nice area. I drove about a mile down off the highway. Quite a few levelled spots to choose from. My 20’ AWD Transit made it easily. No amenities so pack everything out and leave no trace :).

Report Check-In

My goodness, such FIERCE winds here last night! I've stayed when somewhat windy before, but last night was next level. It was just us up here, though! Aside from a ranger, we didn't see anyone Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful and so, so quiet and peaceful.

Wow, what a nice spot, tucked away in a canyon on the edge of the mountains in the desert! It was like our own little paradise. About a half dozen people passed through from Monday - Friday the last weekend of April. We could hear the occasional distant plane overhead and got a couple of jets flying over; otherwise, it's so quiet! Windy at times but never too bad,  bring screens for the bugs, and leave no trace! No facilities, though we saw a fire pit at one site that must have been left behind. We drove about a mile in off Highway 78 and had no problems with the road or sand in our 2WD campervan. (Always check road conditions with the visitor center first!) Great hiking options in the area, too! Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Quiet place to spend a couple days unplugged (no cell coverage). The flat area here has been blocked off with branches and rocks so it’s hard to get level. But there are multiple options in the area if this won’t work for you rig.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Quiet, no one else around at all and not far off the 78.

Report Check-In

About a mile on a packed but mildly loose dirt road. Plenty of spots to pull off.
