Description

This is an excellent spot just I side section three of the Mid Atlantic Back Country Discovery route. Just outside of Covington this little oasis has room for two big rigs. 4-rtt or about 6 ground tents. It is an old well kept very clean established hunting camp complete with a large clean fire ring pallet table and wonderful huge creek with swimming bathing hole just up the road two miles. We took advantage of it and it was wonderful. Very quite and no bugs. Saw a few groups of riders passing through.always nice to see fellow travelers

Great site. Happy I made the 6.5mi drive (20min) up the road. Made it just fine in my prius. No one here. Site was clear, fire pit was nice, and table was still there.

Great out of the way spot. People left behind wood so we left some too. No cell service for T-Mobile or Verizon

Very cool area to camp! the road coming in was definitely a bit hairy with my 1ton dually!

Report Check-In

very good campsite as described above stayed here a couple nights the few people that passed were friendly and chatted. this spot better than most, downside lots of hooks and nails in trees, upside very little trash nicely kept. other side of road recent control burn obvious but not devastating or obnoxious.

Decent site! There is a gravel/dirt road leading to it. There is one decent sized table & a smaller one. Good fire pit. There is a stream up the road but no water immediately available. There was a camper set up about 1/2 mile away, but it was unclear if it was inhabited currently. Nobody drove by or bothered us. 👍
