Report Check-In

Road is flooded as of today, can’t get through to spot.

nobody else out here at all! excellent AT&T service! incredible view of the stars! paved and dirt roads fine for my small 2wd car. however the cows are LOUD and potentially ANGRY and might keep you awake at night

This place is a great! It’s not far from I80 and a short drive to a Family Dollar for supplies. The drive in on the country road is very rough so you’ll have to determine your own destiny. Before I arrived it had rained and when I arrived it was raining so the ground was pretty soaked and the FS road was perfect! No dips, ruts, or washouts. I explored further up the road to see the ruins of an old building, but settled on this. Further up was rather trashed and this flat spot is spotless. Excellent views of the mountains around and lots of opportunity for cloud watching. The T-Mobile here was excellent. It would sometimes go from 2 bars of 5G to Full Bars of LTE so it was very capable of streaming. I stayed here one night, but arrived early afternoon and the only car I ever saw was on the Friday morning and I think it belonged to the ranch 2 miles up the road. Very, very quiet location. The only sounds you’ll here is the wind, the birds, and your heating source. It can get pretty cold here and the snow will dump QUICK! Be prepared.

Came in the winter. The gravel road coming in was somewhat icy but passable in a FWD promaster without chains. Came at night but woke up to beautiful views of snow capped mountains. Not a single car passed by. Very very windy at night and through the morning

Report Check-In

Amazing remote location with good cell service (Verizon)! Gravel road is in great condition. No real pull-offs, but you can park on the bank beside the road. Out in the hillsides on the way to the hot springs. So quiet! Two trucks drove by around 8a, but COMPLETE silence other than that.

Score of an overnight spot. Private, incredible views of the Humboldt Mountains, close to the hot springs. Even has cell service for T-Mobile.

Report Check-In

The paved road is rougher than the gravel road leading to the spot. The spa is just as described flat area isolate in the high desert of Nevada. I’m going to try and hit the hot springs in the AM. Says it’s a 30min drive. Expect an extremely gorgeous sunset. I can’t wait to see the stars.
