Description

This is a spot perched high on top a ridge with amazing panoramic views. It’s pothole-pavement one lane road most of the way up with the last couple miles a bit of washboard type gravel. Easy 2WD accessible. This in within a National Forrest so there’s plenty of pull offs and plenty of places to camp. This is about 45min outside of Grants Pass where there’s lots of services- There are no services on top of this ridge so bring all your water/food that you’ll need.

I chose this spot for a couple reasons: The gravel cycling, the panoramic views, this has incredible T-mobile cell service, and the first iOverlander spot on this road looks like it has long term occupancy situation

It can get a little breezy with some of the tree cover lost to Forrest Fires, but it makes for excellent cell service, solar charging and very photogenic stationary Sunrises/Sunsets being and extremely quiet and secluded perch.

BEAUTIFUL spot. The sunset and sunrise views were amazing, nice place to view the night sky. Was pretty quiet except for a couple cars pulling up around 11pm and just hung there talking loudly for an hour, but when they left I had the place to myself.

nice place. until about last 1.5km paved. last section gravel but quite good

Dangerous ruts make Forest Service Road 25 impassable currently.

This spot is a hidden gem! The views are insane + you are above the clouds! I suggest going to the spot all the way to the right when you pull in. Somewhat tricky to get to with big rocks in the way, but we made it just fine with our Promaster 159"! The reception when you first pull in to the spot is not good, but when you get to the farthest spot like I explained before... the Verizon reception is amazing! We stayed 2 nights and only saw one vehicle drive past. Very secluded! Also the road getting here was completely paved until the last mile where it turned into a nice gravel road. 100% worth the drive!

Not bad nice sunset and sunrise. But its has lil tree cover to protect from wind and also its very very far up a dirt road

Loved this place. 10-15 degrees cooler than grants pass. Not as difficult to get to as I feared but it does take quite awhile, the road is very winding. Fire pit (pls don’t have a fire during fire season) and level. Good enough t-mobile service to stream a show. The wind woke me up in the morning but wasn’t strong enough to knock the van around. Beautiful sunset views. Highly recommend.

Very nice place! I would recommend it for sure.

Great spot but quite the drive up here on the forest road, about 7 miles. Luckily it was paved. Not sure where all the other spots are that others mentioned though. I only saw very small pull offs that were clearly ment to for passing on coming traffic on the single lane road.

Good signal AT&T and T-mobile. Windy at night, calm mid-afternoon. There’s a murder of crows nearby.

Just as reviewed. Beautiful view. Easy to get to with our 2wd van. Stayed 2 nights, and saw 2 trucks for all 3 days pass by. Enough Verizon service to easily stream movies. can be very windy since it's on the top of the ridge. perfect weather. No trash around either. Almost no light pollution and got a great shot of the comet just with our cell phone.

Loved it! As advertised minus the cell phone service, had 1-2 bars with T-Mobile but with the booster we got full service. Loved this spot for two night didn’t see another soul. Roads were windey but smooth.
