Description

Great campground right by the River, you can also find it on Google maps. Nice and quiet, but at night lots of Coyotes. About 5 camp spaces along the river, some fire pits available.

As described, beautiful spot. We backed our 24’ Class C in as the dirt road seemed tight. Probably the most peaceful spot we’ve had in a year of traveling. No cell service, relax by river.

small parking lot with public access for fishing

Report Check-In

Nice spot for tents or vans. No big rigs. 2WD. Quiet and peaceful when I was there on a Friday afternoon. No cell service (Verizon or T-Mobile) even with booster, so I did not stay. There is a sign saying the water is contaminated with lead and other metals from mining

Absolutely loved this spot, didn’t expect it just as beautiful and quiet. A few different level spots with fire pits, and no noise apart from some boats going by. The road in was in great condition.
Just beware that there are warnings about arsenic and lead contamination in the soil/water, so not the best place for a swim.

Absolutely loved this spot, didn’t expect it to be quite as nice. Some boat traffic during the day (on a weekend at least), otherwise very quiet and peaceful. A few level spots and fire pits, and the road in is in very good condition.

A really nice place with a lot of spots to put a tent or car! Some people come here on the summer to swim so unfortunately there is some garbage that haven’t been thrown away. A nice walk by the lake too
To access here you need to drive away from the point on the map and you will find a fort road that leads you there

Oh also, gps kept trying to redirect me here with shorter eta. Don’t let it do that. It sent me to black lake down a dirt road that was difficult to turn around and no cell service.
You should pass a tiny old town called Harrison.. then about 20 min later and a couple bridges, you’ll be at that steep gravel hill leading to the campground.

This place is a very cool spot, though I would not suggest it for a large RV. I have a 30ft and I’m glad I scoped it on my bike first. Steep gravel hill getting up, then sharp turn to get into the area.. my rv wouldn’t make it. Narrow road. Beautiful spot for a van. So much nature and life here. Lots of moose around and other critters.
I ended up camping just down the street in an area that I shouldn’t but no one bothered me.

Report Check-In

The bridge leading to the spot is closed & blocked off.
