Isolated spot, beautiful view of the salt flats. Somewhat protected from the wind.
A hike up to the mountains starts right there.
Good ATT cellular signal but better Verizon signal.
Little traffic on the gravel road

Strong AT&T 5G. 140 Mbps down, 20 up.
Ground is mostly level if you line up your vehicle correctly, but still a little slanted. Lots of broken glass in spots. Sunrise in early October was great.
Hiking up the mountain is fun. If you like scrambling you can get to the peaks. Careful. I got to the top of the tall prominent peak that's to the upper right as you're looking up at the cliffs. There were some legitimately dangerous sections. With loose steep scree, brittle rocks, hidden overhangs with thin brittle ceilings, etc. No trails. Find your own path up which is part of the fun.
No wind during my stay, but I could totally see this being a very windy spot if the wind was blowing from a certain direction if the hills don't block it. You might want to check the weather to avoid any 2am desert wind surprises.
Report Check-InCareful going there with Maps.ME, it made me going all around the hill for no reasons. It's only 10km and I had fun driving my Jeep around the very rough dirt road, but my wife was less amused!
Report Check-InNice flat spot with wind protection from the hills. Area by the fire pit is clean. Some broken bottles and trash on the hillside. Very quiet. Only one other car passed by all night. Great views of the salt flats and sunrise.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot after traveling all day and night me and my fur child decided this spot would be perfect. No on out here nice and quite besides the wind howling and shaking my 177 sprinter. Will definitely come to this spot.
Report Check-InNice big spot off the established road. Room for a bunch of rugs if any size. No 4x4 needed. Little to no traffic. Very quiet. Shade in evenings thanks to the rock wall to the west. Great ATT cell service.
Report Check-InEasy access spot and not far off the highway. There is a small parking lot near the BLM sign that is good for any rig, but anything past this you will need higher clearance. No amenities, but good cell service, quiet, and free.
Report Check-InGreat peaceful spot to relax! Gravel road in good condition, campfire pits scattered around, less than 10 minutes to a gas station and the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Report Check-InBLM land with lots of space. We drove up to the overlook mentioned and wind gusts around 40mph forced us to head back down at 3am. Check wind before setting up for the evening. Epic stars would recommend for sure.
Report Check-InGreat spot, nice views, lots of different places to drive down to find the perfect spot. Good view of the flats but the hills aint bad either. Gets hot fast in the morning though! Saw a few vans scattered in far reaches of the area.
Report Check-InCoordinates for this spot are for the lower portion of the spur, right on the main road. However, we continued up the spur when We arrived after dark. It lead to a very flat ledge overlooking the flats to the East. I used 4WD in a 4Runner but pretty sure I would have been fine without it. There’s enough room for something like a regular length Sprinter to easily get oriented and level with some daylight.
Sunrise was beautiful with a view of the flats as promised. A bit windy at night and we did not sleep well. Wind died by morning and temperatures rose very quickly in late July. Pretty much every plant and rock on the ledge is sharp. So not the greatest spot spend a lot of time.
Still, glad we chose the site and appreciated the morning perched above the flat land.
4 Bars Verizon LTE with excellent data up and down.
Report Check-InThis spot was amazing and I hiked the trail up the mountain nearly to the top. I had a wonderful time but don’t think I would do it again as I got a mouse infestation here. Killed 3 and still have a couple.
Report Check-InEasily accessible wild camping with scenic mountains on one side and the expansive flats in the other. Some cars and motorbikes take dirt road pretty fast, so try to find a spot a little bit away from road to avoid dust. Stayed one night. A few other campers but the sites are spaced far away from each other. No freeway noise. 3 bars of Verizon .
Report Check-InThis is a great area for camping, easy to get to, and has cell phone reception. Several spots have stone fire rings.
On the other side, It may get quite windy and there is little privacy.
