Great day use area but there are now rocks around along the edge to block traffic and "no camping" signs.

Report Check-In

Very secluded and quiet. Only 3 sites and one was available when we arrived at 5pm. Feels like a best keep secret

Stayed first night, absolutely amazing, nice neighbors camped on the beach right on crystal water. decided to stay another night. when we returned from yellowstone that evening we were spent. to my horror as i drove in to my sight, a white truck was parked and two tents were set up. a local trash lady and her kids were set up on our site. they threw our tent upside down and put our gear into the woods. I was polite and they got aggressive. I ended up calling the ranger. they kicked her out but later that night we learned that our nice neighbors had been over run by the local trash people in her group.. all three sites were filled with the same local trash... they parked jetskis and a boat on their site as well as threw our neighbors gear into the woods. they ended up calling the police. the police didnt do much. very awful experience on the second night. be careful

Report Check-In

3 designated campsites on the black sand beach of Hebgen Lake. Deeply rutted dirt road but doable with our low-ish clearance 17ft. trailer. Peaceful sounds of the water. Active bear country.
