Something not right?

Description

Great spot for multiple tents or hammocks. Grest view. Might not be a great spot on a very windy day as it is somewhat exposed but it kept some of the skeeters away in mid July. No cell service. Great spots all up and down this road for tents or RV's. Further down the road, there are less exposed spots but they're more buggy in mid July. Off the main road, take Lulu Pass Trail since its much smoother than Daisy Pass Trail.

If views are your thing then you’ll add this site to your best of the best dispersed list. Any single vehicle will make it up the main road. A hatchback car and 40’ motor home with pull vehicle made it up the main road.

AT&T service is very efficient! No Verizon service.

Grizzly country obviously. A grizzly with cub walked through my camp, simply passing through. Nothing in my camp had a scent to attract them. I found their tracks over my truck tires tracks. When I mentioned this to locals, they laughed, saying they wouldn’t expect otherwise. Maybe the years first snow had caused them to be more active, who knows? Indeed eye opening they’re not afraid of humans

Ground clearance is only an issue if you drive an older model (less ground clearance) 1/2 ton truck pulling a trailer as I do (2017 GMC 1500 and 25’ airstream) I had to use ~30+ orange levelers to provide my hitch the ground clearance in order for my truck and trailer to drive over four kelly humps along the main road.

Stayed 2 nights and will stay some longer. Beautiful. Multiple spots going up. Some annoying ATVs cruising by this weekend but that's often the case in the US. Could have a fire in August: awesome. Can be windy. Some spots have natural shade others don't.
Free WiFi available in Cooke City's chamber of commerce.

We stayed about half way up. The higher you go, the more clearance you seem to need. There was already a fire pit in a cove off the trail. Amazing views and easy access to Yellowstone's NE entrance (the best drive in with lots of bison).
