This place is an oven in the summer. Don't let the name fool you; miserable hot. There are many sites here along the water. This one is surely among the least comfortable. Seemed like it would only be 4WD to here, but of course a minivan trundled by later in the day.

Fantastic. Great camping spot at the end of the road. Didn’t see another person other than floaters for 3 days. Fantastic.
Report Check-InExcellent spot right between the Mexican Hat and the river. Some wind but otherwise quiet. Solid 3G service with T-Mobile. Road is in good condition no 4x4 needed for first few sites at least.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Plenty of room. Short 30 yard walk to the San Juan River. 4x4 not necessary.
