A hidden gem! Great established campground in the Cherokee National Forest. We showed up on a Monday and were able to grab a lakefront spot for two nights. The lake is amazing for swimming, boating, or fishing. Each campsite has a table and firepit. Flush toilets, showers, dump, and potable water available. Cell service spotty on ATT. $12 per night or $6 with any inter-agency pass. Likely can reserve spots on recreation.gov. Look for Loop C if you want to be on the lake.

Loved this place! Quiet neighbors through the night, showers worked great, and the area was clean and very well kept. Kudos to the camp hosts!

Pulled in on a Thursday
Many sites are reserved but plenty still available
This place is GORGEOUS. Huge spaces all a short walk down to the swimming area. I noticed some sites (like mine) had a trail leading down to the other side of the lake where I took my dog for a swim! The camp hostess was so welcoming. Keeps the grounds & bathhouse spotless! hot showers full service w verizon too!
Report Check-InAgreed! It is a hidden gem! 4 sites are not reserved. Arrived at 4:45 pm and chose between 2 sites (perhaps just lucky or still early in the season). All gone by 5 pm. Many fellow campers were locals who reserve in advance. 2 week maximums stay. Clean bathhouse maintained by volunteer camp hosts.
Report Check-InGate was closed for season but we parked & stayed overnight right outside on the oversized concrete road area. No trouble overnight, safe & quiet. Beautiful area and views
Report Check-Inbeautiful campground, right on the lake, very quiet. unfortunately the bathrooms have been locked while i've been here and the vault toilets down by the lake are (and i do not say this lightly) unusable -- swarming bugs like i have never ever ever seen!! but it's all good, and the bugs up at the campsites are few and far between
Report Check-Ingreat sites, some lake front. hot showers, flush toliets. by a beautiful lake, with a designated swim area. new 2021 sites can be booked on recreation.gov
