If high tide, a way to do not pay the 5000 clp asked by the restaurant below. Fantastic view , and it's free.
Parking very close to the Conaf mirador, which remain open all night. Electricity available.
Tents owners can camp below, at beach level, behind Conaf office. Toilets and water available. After crossing the beach take the direction of Pimillahue. The car park is just up the steep hill. Our 7 meters long rig went up. Very quiet at night. No amenities. The car park belongs to Conaf.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Closed place, lock on gate. So sad, because it has a great view.
Report Check-InArrived at 5 PM, gate closed and padlocked, drove back to the beach entrance and spent the night near a small ruined metal hut.
Access road is dirt/sand and very narrow, don't recommend it for big rigs.
Report Check-InThe Conaf parking lot was closed with a gate and a padlock when we arrived (around 9 p.m.). We parked in a lower parking lot near the beach. I will add a new spot.
Report Check-InWe stayed 4 days on the beach. All the time the gate to this place was closed.
Report Check-InGood place for a night or two. We stayed one night in a van in the car park. All of the restaurants on the beach are closed. Not sure if it is because of covid or because it’s the weekend. Very close to the penguins. As others have said, good protection from the wind and the small house (abandoned or simply closed) has a great terrace for sunset over the bay view. Recommend
Report Check-InDue to Covid the higher parking was closed. We stayed the night at the lower parking lot after the red building. No facilities available.
Report Check-InVery small parking near the conaf, but good place to be close for the penguins excursion. You're not hidden but people don't look at you, there's a big curve there. We were alone, quiet night. We saw dolphins, a lot of urubus (vulture with red head), but no penguins, end of March they were already gone. The toilets (down the hill, there's a path to get there or follow the road) are open but you have to pay at the conaf office.
Report Check-InAs said before. Close to the small road and visible, but most of drivers is fully focus on driving the long turn so they dont even see you. In the morning a lady passed thru the parking and continued to the beach and just said hola and smiled at us :)
Quiet, accessible for all kinds of vehicles, bad Entel signal.
The place is not at conaf area down at the beach, you have to continue for about 200m up. We didn't check if the bathroom was open.
Amazing view to the sea and a very quiet place to spend the night and go to the beach (right below) the next day! Due to its height, there is no risk, if the tide comes. It was also very protected from the wind. Great place!
Report Check-Innice place but would stay longer then one night. no-one around. toilets were closed at the CONAF office
Report Check-InVery beautiful and quiet indeed. We stayed on Sat/Sun. Beach was busy-ish with fishermen and penguin watchers but it all quietened down in the evening. Toilets at the Conaf house on the beach, open at some stage during the day/evening. 2-3 restaurants right on the beach if you don’t fancy cooking. Maps.me .me guided us via the top gravel road and not across the beach but the road was also fine for our 2WD Fiat Ducato
Report Check-Inperfect for a night with a view. we sat on the terrace of the conaf house, there's walking paths to a mirador and the beach. house is closed in the evening, no amenities then
Report Check-InGood and quiet place to spend the night. The conaf house seems to be abondend. We sat on the terrace watching the sunset.
Report Check-Inwe were looking for the place but finally a ficherman living next to the site just invites us to install the tent on the grass. just amazing ! the mirador is not free anymore (1000 cpp). for sure this place is wonderfull.
Report Check-InFirst we stayed at the beach. After dinner we decided to drive somewhat higher because of the thight and high water. We slept very well behind the office (a quite and safe place).
Report Check-InConfirm, place is perfect, quiet, totally empty and the mirador (some says thay it is private but we didn't paid) is astonishing for the sunset, wine etc. Enjoy! :)
Report Check-InFree car park and a good spot when tides are high. The view is great. After crossing the beach take the direction of Pimillahue. The car park is just up the steep hill. Our 7 meters long rig went up. Very quiet at night. No amenities. The car park belongs to Conaf.
