Beautiful vista about 200' up from (St. John's?) creek. We parked our van (sprinter 144) next to the rock and gravel road facing the ridge across the creek, about 100 yards before an open forest road gate for Deer Creek Rd #5. We saw a number of other campsites along the way, some occupied. High clearance or due care advised once you go past Montezuma village, did not use our 4x4. We traveled from Florida, nice to have a cool 40⁰ night in the middle of August.
