No one out there after the snow arrived in the dark woke up beside the crater.
Report Check-InJust around the rim going away from parking take it to the right when you see the gates. Site right there and then a couple more if you continue up the road. Not level but amazing views.
Report Check-InQuietest place we’ve stayed so far only ones camping if you love Mars or the moon you’ll love the spot. Lots of flies during the day. No Verizon service.
Report Check-InSeveral spots around the crater. About 5 miles of washboard and potholes after you leave the highway, so have good suspension or go slowly.
Report Check-InGreat spot.
The road in is not in good condition but passable with patience.
The road has a LOT of washboards and yes camping would be fine.
