Continue past the turn-off for the archaeological site... Road will become a bit of a sandy track, but is well-traveled throughout the evening. The first left leads to a nice, well shaded camping area above a stream. Stone 'tables and chairs' are conveniently set up under trees, so it seems that this is a favorite spot of the locals, although we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night. A bit of trash here and there, but otherwise, a lovely free place to spend the night.

Decent place, got here easily in a 2WD drive van, couple of high clearances but still easy to get to. No one here on the weeknight we stayed. Some spots have low hanging trees but there was a nice spot for our 2.5m van with no trees above.
Report Check-Inatm 4wd only or maybe 2wd if you dont have a longish van that looses some floor distance due to the long wheel base. however the place would be nice and shady. parking under the trees difficult for anything much higher than 2.50m.
if you cant go all the way up theres a nice shady place on the right 20m before, in front of an unfinished house. no work in progress when we were there so nobody mind
Nice spot, lots of thorns and the odd gaucho passing who wasn't bothered by us!!
Report Check-InThere was one patrol of the guardia urbania (kind of a police?) at 8pm. They didn't show any interest in us. Then we set up our tent a bit later at sunset and made a fire. No further patrols. We had the place for ourselves on a Wednesday night. No problems. Great place.
Report Check-InNice clearing with space for multiple rigs (big ones too). Wood for campfire, but watch out for thorns, especially on the bottom of your shoes. There was lots of rubbish when we were here, and we made sure to take some with us :)
