Next Hostel Hamacas | Established Campground

We wanted to stay here but the owner was sleeping and not possible to wake up… but next to the gate is a small shop and the Shop owner is very helpful. If you want to sleep in the gated area you can contact the shop owner and she tries to help you.

Unfortunately it didn’t work when we tried to sleep there😅

Tipp: go there before sunset😉

Seriously dirty toilet and shower, no area for cooking, no sitting area, no table or a place to get out of the wind. very nicely kept ground but thats it. don Rafael is very nice old man but absolutely wants to lock up the gate at 5h30pm max 6pm as he goes to sleep then.. and wakes up at 3h30am to start racking the leaves... Only stay here as last resort... or pay yourself a room for 20$ at the hotel infront...

A big space surronded bye the white fence. We were looking on the map and a man talked to us to know what we were looking for. We told him the name of Don Rafa and he went to call him bc he was already asleep (8pm).
Don Rafa opened the white fence and charged us 200 c for the car. Super safe and big space with trees and nice wind that night. Then rainy.
The shower and toilets as described before but the man is super nice he gave us some limes from the tree and a map of the isle. Open for all overlanders bikers with tents etc. Simple but is safe and quite and cheap. ✌️

De l'autre côté de l'hôtel Hamacas il y a un portail blanc.Ici vit Rafael qui laisse stationner dans son jardin.Endroit ombragé 5 $ par jour avec électricité de faible ampèrage .Endroit clôturé et sécuritaire pour laisser le véhicule si on veut aller sur l'île à pied . Si Rafael n'est pas là lui téléphoner pour qu'il vienne vous ouvrir. Rafael est aussi mécanicien moto et electricien à la retraite. son numéro de tel 78121515

Don Raphaël was a nice guy
we stood on his land for 150c
had electricity a bathroom and shower for that money
not a bad deal
when there is nobody at the gate when arriving check at hotel hamacs as they know where he hangs around

On the other side of Hostel Hamacas is a white fence. It's no sine, but the guy who lives there let you stay (2 people for 5$). His name is Rafael Castillo.
Wifi from Hostel Hamacas worked well.
Shower and bathroom are very simple and dirty, but if you are looking for a cheap and safe place in the shadow.
