Something not right?

Description

not the most beautiful camping ever but the view on the ocean is pretty and there is a bathroom with cold shower. The owner wanted 25000, we negotiated and paid 20000, still quite expensive!

20.000CLP for 2 people. Not enjoyable, broken, cold showers. A lot of dog shit. Only go there if you are too afraid to park unprotected in Antofagasta as we were.

Report Check-In

We paid 20 000clp, per day for 2 pax and a big rig.
The place for motor home is close to WC, its stinks a lot as the evacuation is in open air.
It is dirty and lot of dog's pooh !
I came because I need 220v and it was the only solution.

We stayed one night 2p and motorhome and paid CLP 25,000.. Was not willing to lower price. Only camping in Antofagasta. Very dirty (a lot of pooh) and no hot showers. When we came back hé told me they would have fiesta. Offered us to Leave but not willing to lower price. Fiesta lasted till 5.30am. On the plus side: pool, kitchen, covered area with tables, games area for kids and fantastic views (sunset) and next to beach.

We came late afternoon, and they asked 35000 for 2 persons and a car with rooftop tent. They did'nt go down in price. So we left.

Report Check-In

They asked 25 k for the 2 of us. And that is the official price according to the price list. I asked if 20 k was okay for them, and they accepted. Small cold shower and toilet close to the camp parking spots. They provide electricity and a outside lamp during the night. You can use the pool till 8 pm and the game room (pretty fun). Its not a real campsite but it does the job. Nice view over the ocean and the pelicans.

Report Check-In

Closed! Gate closed with a chain. Nobody there…

Report Check-In

Ok given it's the only official camping place in Antofagasta. It's pretty far the centre but I saw buses passing so if you wanted to get in to town I think it's doable
And there's Uber. Clp7000 pp. Basic but fine. Peaceful. Some road noise but it's a dead end so not much traffic, and the sound of the waves and seagulls is nice. Nice pool. Shaded areas to sit. Electricity. Cold showers and no WiFi but OK entel signal. Good to chill for a night or two. Nice owners/administrators.

Report Check-In

Locked gates and closed when we arrived :( (a Friday night). Maybe they are just on holiday?

Report Check-In

nice place to stay, owner very friendly. 7000pp. we spend the night with locals. Swimming pool very nice as well

Report Check-In

Quoted 7,000 pp on a weekday (Monday). Kids from 2 yo pay the same, which would make us 5 paying. We left.

Spent a night here and it was fine! Sunday night all quiet. No music and not at all a disco. Owner was friendly. Shower and toilet clean, but cold water. Outside sink a bit dirty but nothing too bad. Did some laundry here and slept really well. Picnic tables available. Ofcourse a bit expensive, but what is not in Chile? :-)

Report Check-In

very Good , $7.000 pc , o Ector uma pessoa muito cordial.

Report Check-In

Horrible, most like a disco. Music loud until 7 am. Manager didn't appear. Men in charge doesnt take responsability. Still want us to pay full charge. We where 4 motorcycle trsvelers looking to rest. Couldnt sleep all night. Got to keep my Journey without sleeping.

Report Check-In

Friendly owner, and ok place for a night. Pool was filled but for us in October too cold, though a Chilean family was having fun swimming. Electricity but we could not fill our campers water tank with potable water. There were cold showers but the ladies showers was barely giving water so really hard to use. The town is fun to go to. It was a Sunday so everybody was out having fun, bbq on the beach and there was live music on the plaza colon. 6000 pesos a night which is an average price nowadays for a camping like this one. The lack of water and bad showers makes me not want to stay longer than a night.

Report Check-In

good camping site for one located close to a big city. this is the best option in Antofagasta. No hot water but facilities were very clean. owners very friendly. we paid 6000 pp per night and our 2 little kids did not pay.

Report Check-In

Closed before hours stated and unwilling to be of assistance !! If you need a great place with secure unlimited height for a camper van you can get a room at the Geotel on the right hand side about 5 mins before any of the campsites for about $70 USD per night for 2 in a great ocean view double room !! a great little hotel good rooms spotless and great views staff at reception also speak english and are very friendly!! It's easy to spot on the right hand side about 8 floors high ...

Report Check-In

Arrived for just one night stay at this campsite. Friendly owner who asked us about 5 times if we needed anything. There's not much positive to say furthermore. Dirty toilets and barely water (less than for regular water tap) coming from the showers. 6000 pesos pp is way too much for this place.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to stay up on cliff overlooking coastal road and beach. Nice facilities including unheated but not cold showers in the summer. No wifi but good signal from Entel cellular company. Bus 102 passes below on the coast road and costs 480 pesos to town. Coming back catch the 102 but make sure it says Coloso because not all of the 102 buses go so far down. Nice owners and power and picnic tables at parking spots. Little tricky to find as campground is above the coast road but entrance is on the crossroad that goes up the hill to connect to the Panamericana. There is a little plaza at the intersection, then look up hill to the right. You can watch for the bus to go by southbound where it turns around and comes by northbound 15 minutes later. The last bus is at 9 pm.

Hard to find at night. Expensive for what they offer (bathrooms and cold showers). No Internet.

Report Check-In

No Trees like everywhere around this desert, a dusty place. Directly near the road. small campsites. Just to sleep and leave quick it is OK.

Report Check-In

Good Place to sleep, quiet and lonely.
Big parking but no wifi

Report Check-In

Behind the pet cemetery! Gravel area with wind break for tent, they also have cabanas. Camping 6,000 pp, cold showers(dribble), pool wasnt filled, we were allowed to use the kitchen to cook and wash up, didnt see any dogs!

Report Check-In

After driving around for ages in Antofagasta (it's quite big and very busy on saturdays) we decided to check out this place. It's quite okay for a city camp. Has all the facilities you need, not very clean and a bit messy but OK. Price is 6000 pesos p.p.

Report Check-In

prices went up....now 6000.00 per person. but lot of space, clean toilets and showers, very quiet in the night.

Report Check-In

Right on the rte 1 - rte B510 junction. At first you face some sort of scrapyard which immediately discourages you from staying, but the actual place is quite nice... For $4000 pp, it's an excellent stop if you've been camping in the wild for a while, good bathrooms, showers, electricity and even a swimming pool.
Pets are allowed, and they have their own doggies; they're really nice and you can't help spending some time with them, but be warned, they have ticks, nothing serious but something to be mindful of when bringing your pet (no properly protected pet should have any issues being here).
