Cascada La Pajcha. Waterfall with beach and swimming possible. Not to big, but nice rest place. We were the only ones there. Probably is busy in weekend. It is 40km 4wd drive from Samaipata, about 2 hours. The road had bad parts even when dry, would not advice it after heavy rain. Would be possible to camp, but we have not done so. Few waste barrels and fire pits are the only facilities.

Very nice waterfall with a small sandy beach.
The road to go there is not easy and bit tricky as it raines a lot the last months. We took a tour with Kaleidoscope agency for this spot and the condor hike the same day.
2WD van reporting! The road until the waterfall is a breeze in dry season. It takes time (2,5 hours), but no difficulties. Right after it gets tricky, you have to pass a sandy river (which we did) and then the road gets steeper, with mud pools and rocky/sandy parts. Only 5 km further we were in the 3rd situation where we had serious trouble to continue. Keeping in mind that there's nobody on the road to help us when stuck and not knowing what was up ahead we decided to turn around.
The waterfall is a great, though. We ended up staying 2 nights, made our fire right on the beach - perfect! On Saturday there were some people camping. Sunday afternoon the crowds left and we were alone.
Report Check-InVery nice place, but rough road to get there. Needed 2.5 hours from Samaipata and another 4.5 hours to go to Vallegrande. We did it in rain season but with dry roads and used 4x4 quite often and occasionally even reduction.
Report Check-InJust a note, this drive does not need 4x4 when dry. So don't let that pit you off visiting. From what we could tell most parts have been recently graded.
Report Check-InCamped here 2 Nights. Owners came but didn't charge anything. Instead they offer us oranges and mandarines and we can buy a fresh chicken for 50bol.
