Free. Unestablished sites. We didnt see the geyser go off. Apparently its one or two times a day. A good overnight spot. 10 km off the highway on unmaintained road.

Beautiful spot along the river with an active bubbling geyser! Plenty of spots along the approach, I was able to have the entire spot to myself . Nice fireplace at the Geyser aswell
Report Check-InStayed at the campsite just behind the geyser. Fun area to look around. We believe we went off around 530am and definitely again around 11am. Not sure if that's typical, though.
Report Check-InWe arrived at 7:30pm sunset and the geyser was going off—it went off again at 3am, and we watched it by moonlight for a bit. Beautiful views of river and stars. We spent the night w two other over-night boondockers there, and everyone was so quiet and respectful. There are several flat spots to camp close to the geyser. 1 bar Verizon service (not enough to send texts but enough to receive them)—but Google Fi worked okay.
Report Check-InCame in late on Saturday night. Scored a beautiful spot next to the geyser. wouldn't recommend swimming iin the water, it smells like cow dung. Geyser has a more pleasant sulfur smell. Make sure you check out the base of the geyser, super cool.
Report Check-InThought we were driving on the moon for a couple’ish miles. Stayed at the geyser for 2 nights. Lot’s of spots. Geyser totally unpredictable! In our case it started at 3:30am to about 3 pm. Great stop! No Verizon service…
Report Check-InAs everyone else has said, this is a great spot! Quiet and scenic! And the geyser was geysering beautifully when I came!
Report Check-InRoute as described. Didn’t see geyser. Green River muddy. Many flies. Occasional cars. Hot in July. Had a good nights sleep.
Report Check-InOnce you turn off the highway, there's about 2-ish miles of old paved road (pretty good condition, considering, 40mph), then 4 miles of dirt road (also very good, flat condition with a little washboard towards the end, 30+mph.) Only one hairpin turn, so some longer vehicles can make it. No problem for two-wheeled drive vehicles. (Wet season may be different.)
The geyser is pretty random. was told it went off at 5am, then hadn't since (as of 7pm same day.) But had done it three times the day before.
There were only 2-3 other vehicles there. Very quiet.
Lots of spot here and nearby to choose from, several with fire rings. A couple have a uneven path. The dirt was pretty compact all over, so less chance of getting stuck.
Report Check-Ingeyser went off about 2:30 pm. nice spot on the river and adjacent to geyser, good thing there's water to play in, it can get pretty hot mid day, very desert like with all this sand, can't imagine what it would be like in rain?? Surprisingly I have a 1 to 2 bars verizon
Report Check-InSuper cool spot on the river. Absolutely gorgeous views of the geyser, river, red rocks, and open sky. We pulled into the spot right next to the geyser so we could watch for it to go off—the other spots are back a bit further and down closer to the river. I liked this spot but we had various groups of people come park right next to us to go check out the geyser. No one stayed the night next to us, and it didn’t bother us, but just wanted to share that for those that may want more privacy.
Report Check-InPulled in here at night. Happen to catch the geyser going off. Only one other overnighter this night. Lots of good little spots. Very quite for sure.
Report Check-InAmazing spot. Spent the night here it was really quiet. Didn’t have Verizon service but my Solis WiFi device was able to give me internet. So I’m assuming some other carrier might have cell service down here. The geyser went off around 9 am and kept going for a good hour or so. It’s beautiful!
Report Check-InGreat place to stay. Lots of interesting terrain to check out. It was super windy, and therefore dusty, during our stay. Camp space is right next to the Geyser and walkable to several riverside beach areas. The road in is rough, but doable even in a large rig. Enjoy! Definitely worth the drive in and a few nights stay.
Report Check-InBeautiful rock formations by the river, starry sky night of sleeping, really really beautiful
Report Check-InAwesome place on the river. Quite a few spots for big or small rigs some more leveled than others. We got to the the geyser which was our goal. 🙂 The road to the sites is a dirt fairly well maintained road but still, it was quite bumpy. the dirt road is about 4 mile long.
Report Check-InAs described by others. We came in our Sprinter without problem, saw one 40 foot motorhome as well. Waiting on geyser now.
Report Check-InGreat spot, plenty of places to camp and beautiful by the river. No clean water or toilets though, so definitely make sure you can carry out any human waste!
Report Check-InGreat camping on BLM land at the beautiful travertine terraces of Crystal Geyser along the banks of the Green River. Very remote and quiet.
Report Check-InGreat spot, beautiful views! More options for camping if you have a 4x4. The road got a little bad when getting off the highway (for the last 10 km), but very manageable in our 21 feet mini motorhome and definitely worth it.
Report Check-InCamped on the bank of the Green River. It was a beautiful spot. We were a 100 yards from the geyser. At 1:00 am we heard the geyser go off, but couldn’t see a thing. There are 4-5 camping spots that are pretty separated along the river.
Report Check-InBeautiful quiet spot on the Green river, missed the geyser would definitely return
Report Check-InThe geyser went off late afternoon and kept erupting for more than an hour. The geyser has created over time colorful sinter terraces that go from the geyser down to the river. Beautiful place to spend a night. We did not stay because a big group of locals was about to start a party, so we moved to the Swasey‘s beach further upstream.
Report Check-InThe water from the geyser is not drinkable, but it is nice and cool, which in the summertime is a good thing to find in this high desert country.
It was 104 F when we were there around lunchtime and was probably even hotter later in the day, so we didn't camp, but there are several spots that would be lovely campsites in cooler weather. There are a few stone fire rings around built by previous visitors, but no naturally available firewood.
A nice place to camp. There are several (probably many) spots on the road to the geyser. The spot nearest the geyser is very nice. There is a Wikipedia page about the geyser. it errupts either every 8 hours or 22 hours. it errupted during the night for us and continued flowing until we left in the morning. The ground around the geyser is super cool even when it's not errupting, and it's within a hundred feet of the river.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot on a river next to a small geyser (or what's left of it). Fire pits available.
Report Check-Ina long road but a quiet place, we stay one night (without see the geyser).
un long chemin pour y arriver mais un endroit calme, nous sommes restes une nuit (sans voir le geyser en action).
Right on the river. Road is not great but no 4WD or high clearance required. Lovely spot.
Report Check-InAwesome spot. We were the only campers there. A few people drove to check the geyser but left right away, it only comes off every 12 to 24 hours or more. Indeed it cames off during the night when we were there.
Report Check-InFree. Unestablished sites. We didnt see the geyser go off. Apparently its every 4 hours or so. A good overnight spot.
