DIAN Office | Customs and Immigration

One week before our TIP expired we've got an email from the DIAN to extend our TIP. So when we got our personal visa extension we tried to fill in this online form from the DIAN. We didn't succeed because we couldn't upload the form. Therefore we went to the DIAN office to ask for help. The people were very friendly and the woman Solangie Montoya Molano (who is responsible for the TIP extension) said she would do it the next day (Thursday). She didn't and even not after us emailing her again. On Monday our tip expired and we send her again an email that the police had stopped us and said that we should have the correct paperwork for tomorrow. Then we finally received our TIP. I uploaded a photo of her contact details.

My motorcycle TIP was expired by 2 days and renewed it without any issues. Took 2 days. No cost involved.

Don't park too far away, when we went they wanted to see the car in person and wouldn't accept photos.

A fairly easy procedure, it takes 2 days to get the permit after you apply for it. Need photocopies of the original permit, passport, renewed tourist visa stamp, insurance and a photo of your WIN number and license plate. I was asked to email the photos. The plaza beside the building has free wifi for that.
