Latest Check-Ins

We stayed here 3 nights, just behind the reception and congress buildings. At the beginning they said 300l/2ppn, but during the payment the last day they asked 750l. Clean toilets at reception, but sometimes not possible to get there during the night - you have to find night guard. Perfect place- close to centre and ruins, you can ask for shower and they let you to checked out uncleaned room. Good WiFi at reception but behind the building not so stable.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay in Copan. Staff very kind and helpful. We filled with water here ( we filter it ourselves). We plugged in overnight because our batteries were low. You move to the back of the building and there's an outlet inside the little gray building, they show you. The grassy campsites are pretty but there is road noise during the day. The parrots will drop things from the trees on your vehicle all morning while they're feeding up there!!

Report Check-In

Nice stuff,
toilet and shower available. If you park near the reception you have WiFi Signal but also the noise from the road. They charged for
RV per Night 250 HNL. They also have laundry service. We did it but can’t recommend. For one bag (8kg) charged us for 10 kg 600HNL and the clothes comes dirty bag. After telling the receptionist we get 100 HNL back. In the morning you can spot Macaws in the Trees. All in all was a good spot.

Report Check-In

Good place and free, noone asked for a fee.

Report Check-In

Very relax place to sleep before exploring the ruinas. You can spot the macaws here already in the garden. We asked for electricity and were able to plug in an extension cord in a building in the back of the reception without a problem.

Report Check-In

We spent three nights here while exploring the Copan ruins and the Macaw Mountain bird sanctuary. The ruins are a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel and town is a 10 minute walk with many services available. Flat shady spot in the trees near the main road, so there is some noise from the road as well as the tire repair shop across the street, but it quiets down after dark. We were permitted to use the hot showers in the hotel rooms after paying hotel guests checked out. There are no electrical outlets in the shady sites, through there may be some in the parking lot closer to reception, I never confirmed. Beware of the little bugs that will bite your ankles and legs! There are water spigots close to reception. 250 Lempira/night/vehicle

Report Check-In

All as described. Just adding that you can have electricity at the site if you wish, they plug in your cable in one of the buildings. No extra cost.

Report Check-In

Great place just a 5 minute walk from the town centre. Large space in hotel grounds for campers and RVs. Clean toilets. WiFi works best in hotel lobby where there is plenty of seating. Price per night for two people 250 hnl. Very reasonable

Report Check-In

Great spot for overlanders. We spent 4 nights here and really enjoyed it. cost: 250 lemp for vehicle. Front desk is very familiar with overlanders spending 1 or more nights, so they will accommodate you easily. (the place seems popular with small truck drivers too).
- you have multiple areas where to park inside the green hotel property
- can use the bathrooms in the reception (closed at night)
- can ask to use showers
- wifi included, but not very fast
- very pet friendly
- you can buy garrafones de agua at the front desk
The (nice!) town of copan ruinas is just across the road, walkable distance.

Report Check-In

Everything as described. We stayed at a Saturday with the hotel fully booked and a wedding party playing loud music all night (until 5am). Not their fault but probably happens more often on weekends. At 6.30am leaf-blowing guy came by but we wanted to head out early anyways.

Place was very clean and felt super safe. You can walk into town in 5 minutes or take a tuktuk for a dollar. Facilities are nice, they even have a soccer field. Almost no bugs or mosquitos. We felt it was worth the 10 bucks.

Report Check-In

We stayed there for visiting the ruinas. Very convenient. Nice people. Hotel where they let you park at the back. Not much space but we got water, electricity, wifi for 250L per night no matter the number of persons. Relatively quiet. We walked to the ruinas, 10 minutes, but there is a free parking at the ruins.

Report Check-In

We had a great three-night stay here. Overall, very quiet and we felt secure (cameras on property and someone at front desk all night. We parked by the playground in the shade, which also blocked some rain. There was a water spigot by the building right across from us. Bathrooms are in the hotel lobby and very clean. Showers are only available in the evening, but they open a nice hotel room for this. My room had hot water when I showered, but the room Eric got the next day didn’t. I think they usually have hot water. Laundry service for L25 per pound! Drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. We didn’t eat at the restaurant (recommend Asados, Jim’s Pizza, and Via Via in town). We took Tuk-Tuks into town and to the ruins, but we also walked into town.

Report Check-In

The price is now 250 Lempiras per night for 2 people per night (maybe she can make a discount if you stay longer). It's expensive but we got access to restrooms, could take 1 shower (warm and good pressure) and had very good wifi when parking near the reception.

Report Check-In

$150 we parked in the back of the property and there is no WiFi back there. The bathrooms in the lobby where open to us and they offered to make a traditional dinner. I did not ask the price as we wanted to walk into the center for food. You can easy walk to the center and the ruins from here.

Report Check-In

150 Lempiras for the night.
camped next to the playground and the little employees cabin where we plugged for electricity with an extension cord.
good WiFi. Great hot shower.

Report Check-In

super accueil. Ils nous donnent même accès à une chambre le matin pour une douche chaude. on peut remplir son réservoir d'eau. nuit à 120 L pour tous (2 adultes et 1 enfant + le chien)

Report Check-In

small update: Some stuff was missing from the laundry and some stuff torn... Friendly people, but this went worse than expected, especially for this price.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay to visit the Copán ruins and the village Copán Ruinas (nice restaurants and coffee shops). They increased the price to 200L per car per night, which I still think is ok. They will give you a room key if you ask for a shower.

Laundry is super expensive though, paid 450L for 2 bags (washed and dried, not folded, Just dumped into the bag). Probably 50L per lb now.

Quiet at night, unless the gardener starts his leave blower at 7am...

Wifi is good, didn't find power sockets near the parking area though. Shade, so no sun to charge with solar. Toilets are clean. Unsure if the restaurant was open, they did serve some breakfast to hotel guests. Pet friendly, our cat was warmly welcomed even if he kept running through the lobby.

Report Check-In

Use one of the two main entrances at the main road. The gate at the side road is not in use anymore. Because of the pandemic situation, the restaurant is closed at the moment. Quick laundry with tumble dryer 50L/KG.

Report Check-In

Great place to stop and spend a few nights after the long border crossing day. They let us use the reception bathroom and a shower from one of the rooms. Lot of shade and grassy area. Pet friendly, safe and clean. 150 lempiras per night for one car.

Report Check-In

Very Nice place, saved with shadow. Friendly Peoples. 150l for two person.
Cold shower.

Report Check-In

awesome spot. very quiet and cool at night. the place hosts events on weekends so it could be loud but during the week place is nearly abandoned. hot showers in the room, toilets in lobby are clean, staff is friendly, i even built a fire pit

Report Check-In

As described, we there have past 3 night with one 24 feet, no problem, calm and safe. The hotel proposes one service of laundromat, well practice.

Report Check-In

now 150lps for 2 people in one car

In the morning we got a electric shower assigned of a guest which had checked out.

Camping for free at Texaco gas stop is possible again.

Report Check-In

Accidentally came in the wrong entrance. Don't enter from main highway. This lane is narrow and steep with a sharp turn. Enter from the side road, for the main entrance. They took down the sign so no height restrictions at all. Wasn't surely I would fit but absolutely no problem. Lots of room, sun or shade. Showers available, just ask. Charged me $150. L. single person. I suck at bargaining so may be less. Right on the highway but if you park at the back, there is very little noise. No resident dogs when I was there but pet friendly. Walking distance to the ruins. Parked here with a 25' Class C towing a car. I would stay here again.

Report Check-In

75HNL per person each night. You can park wherever you want on the property. We chose to park near the front office and the WiFi reached our vehicle so that was nice. The bathrooms in the front office were available for us to use and very clean. Later in the night, we asked for a shower and they opened up a room for us to use. Lots of mosquitos but otherwise a quiet and peaceful night. Very close to Copan Ruins.

Report Check-In

As described below, large grassy area to park car, we could park anywhere. Bathroom in lobby was clean. We asked to use the shower and they opened a room for us to use shower. Felt safe.

Report Check-In

Nice place for Overlanders to pass a night. Quiet and safe.
We were asked for L 150,00 Lempiras but closed with L 120,00
Isauro the guy that we talked to allowed us to use shower from a room nearby and also the bathroom.
Big parking lot with trees and shadow. Running potable water just besides our car.
Perfect place to rest after passing all day walking at the Copán Ruins.
Very close also from the border do Guatemala.

Report Check-In

We were initially a bit hesitant to stay here after reading the reviews because we desperately needed a shower after a stinking hot day of driving, but this place was great. We paid 120 limpira for two people for one night. They opened a room for us they had not finished cleaning yet and we enjoyed hot showers. Also had access to electricity with an extension and great wifi. the guys who work here are really friendly and welcoming and their enormous property is very relaxed and inviting.

Report Check-In

Really a good place to visit the site and the Town
Quiet and lot or Space

Report Check-In

7.1.19 We were here with a big truck, very friendly. We payed 150 Lempira for two people. Dog is no problem. We get internet and power as well.

Report Check-In

It’s 150 limp per unit. WiFi is ok. By February 2019

Report Check-In

We stayed one night and paid 100L without electricity. I asked at the reception for a shower but the guy said they offer only the toilets at the reception (open until 10pm) for overlanders. Later I asked the night guard who comes around 7pm about a shower and he was very kind and opened a room for us to shower. We even got hot water.

Report Check-In

paid 120L. nice place with toilets available until 10pm at the reception. easy to walk down to downtown. indeed it's a bit of a luck to get access to a shower but I guess you need to keep going asking. we had access to a hot shower. water available from a faucet outside.

Report Check-In

At 3.75 metres we managed to squeeze in past the entrance sign by keeping to the right.
10 USD a night. Expensive but secure and close to town. Basic.

Report Check-In

Still 120 per car. Good location close to the town and ruins. Top tip - go to the "Sol de Copan" in the city in the evening for some good beer (german expat owner)
Showers available, but ask for them first - the guy at the reception was a bit reluctant and said he'd figure something out later - after an hour, we asked again and he said maybe after sunset... so we explained we would go to other place if we don't get the shower. Other lady heard it and opened one room for us without an issue and immediately - so if there's a reluctant guy at the reception, just find someone else. Shower was cold, but it's hot here, so it was refreshing.
PS: lady told us, that the owner is not really happy with the use of showers in the rooms, so he's building a separate shower/toilet in the back for overlanders.

Report Check-In

After watching the photos we weren't sure if we would fit in with 12 ft / 3,70 m height, but it worked easily. Stay on the very right side of the gate with a high vehicle. I agree with others that's the place is good to explore the village and the ruinas, but nothing to stay longer. If you can afford the 200 Lempiras p.p. I would recommend the Hacienda Aqua Park El Jaral for the first or last night in Copan.

Report Check-In

Spent a couple nights in this place. Nice staff, they opened a room for us so we could shower and use the toilet.

Report Check-In

Stayed there for one night before going to visit the ruins.
Really convenient place (15 min walk to the ruins), they opened a room for us to have access to bathroom and shower.
Good wifi.
We were charged 120L for two people in a campervan.
The ruins (not including museum and tunnels) cost 15$ / 345L per person.

Report Check-In

This place is good for one night. Based on reviews we anticipated something else. We paid 120 for two people and a dog connected to electricity with use of bathrooms. Toilet closing hours is fine by us, we are sleeping by then, but toilets not open tell 7am was a problem for us. Thankfully after wandering the property I found on open restroom! No shower! ! Based on reviews we planned to stay 3 or more nights, but after arriving decided one would be enough.
During the rain it's a muddy mess, no shower to use, closed bathrooms, in general I don't like using reception area bathrooms. I feel wierd when I have to say hi to someone every time I need to pee, the noise from the road is really load.
I still think it's a good spot for a night to check out ruins and the town. I would stay here again, but not the longer stays others did.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for a little over a week. Very nice facility. Water, electric (with extension), and bathrooms for 120 Limpura ($5 US). This was for 2 people and our vehicle per night. A little truck noise, but very convenient to Tuk Tuks and walking Centro (10 min). While here we found a great place all with same amenities for free. We put it in as a new place. Just up the street. Visit Macaw mountain while here. Interact with huge birds

Report Check-In

Great place to let your motorhome when you visit around.
We are 3. They asked first 140 lempiras for one night but we staid 3 nights and paid 360 lempiras for the 3 nights.
Sani-dump and water to refill your tank near reception.

Around nice horse riding 240 lempiras ppers + 150 lempiras for your guide horse for a 2 hours trip with Luis. we visited a chori community but you can ask to ride to other places: coffee fincas, cave, waterfall. Luis is the cheapest he is looking for customers on the parking lot of copán ruinas or at the casita of the archeological area. Trust him You will need to give him an account to book horses for the next day. In the morning he came to pick up at bosque hotel with horses. Horses were very nice and Luis is very helpful.

Report Check-In

Nice, quiet spot to park. Previous reviews still accurate. 100 lempira per car. We asked for a shower and we're allowed to use a hot shower in one of the rooms.

Report Check-In

Great Overlander Camp. Thank you guys. We almost missed this one, so we changed the name a bit. Enjoyed 4 quiet nights. 100 for the 2 of us per night, free toilet, water, wifi.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay and visit the ruins and the City. Paid 100 Lps per night but we were not allowed to use the showers, as "the rules have changes"... could just use the bathroom at the reception.

Report Check-In

All previous info is correct. 100L a night. Allowed us to shower, gave us chairs and allowed us to do and dry laundry. Wifi was pretty good. Helped us to find a place to buy a new mattress.

Report Check-In

As described closest place we could access at 10 feet as the city has low arcs at entrances.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights. Located in a big and nice park. Only a 5 Minutes walk to the nice center of the town with many good restaurants. Walked back from town at night and felt save. Good wifi. If you need electricity it's best to plug in by the restaurant. The other plugs were weak and instabil. Staff very friendly and helpful. They opened a room for shower. We payed 100 L for two persons including electricity. Easy walk to ruins and Macaw Rescue Center.

Report Check-In

ok, is a good place to overnigth

Report Check-In

As we were checking in, mechanical failure on truck camper and we ended up blocking one of their driveways for four days. They were most gracious about it. Charged us 100L per night and for last night, got a room there for 500L. Could use their bathrooms and wifi; although entire town experienced power failures on two afternoons. Helped us locate a mechanic and on last day, when got stuck in the mud turning around, they helped push to get us out of soupy mud. Motel room had one speed AC but was very musty smelling.

Report Check-In

Got here on a Tuesday and stayed five nights. went to Macaw Mountain by tuk-tuk; recommend highly. The ticket is good for 3 days; we went twice.
Here we paid 120L for two per night with power and good Wi-Fi that reached us. We were given access to a room for showers at no extra cost. Quiet at night. Felt safe. Good Tigo reception too. BTW we checked the ruins and paid the extra for their museum - was worth it; did not do tunnels. paid 1012L for two for ruins & its museum. also checked out the children's museum at the mirador in town and it was pretty good for 20L. Has a short video about the Mayan ball game. Friday nights bring lots of food stalls to town square.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay, walking distance to town and the ruins.wifi in the car park, for 120l a night.could use the wc in the lobby

Report Check-In

Camped here for one night after the border crossing and visited the ruins. Nice compound and parking area, friendly staff. We could use the restrooms in the reception area during the daytime. Actually we were told that the night guard would patrol and could also open the toilets in the night but when we wanted to make use of this option the night guard was nowhere to be found, must have been asleep somewhere. The reception is closed between 10 pm and 6 am. Paid 120 Lempiras and the receptionist told us opening a room for showering would have been 100 Lempiras so we declined.

Report Check-In

Great spot to base yourself for a trip to the ruins (they're within walking distance!) Big open area with plenty of [shaded] spots to park your rig and/or pitch a tent. 100L per car per night and includes wifi, bathrooms, and electricity. Really friendly staff and super tranquil spot.

Report Check-In

best option for campers!!!only L100 per car per night. parking on shade, probably room for bigger rig on the property. with am extension cord you can get electricity. good WiFi. clean flush toilet and they opened a room for us so we can take a very nice hot shower for L30 extra pp. super friendly staff and good location

Report Check-In
