Great spot w lots of dispersed options. Sand is totally packed in the winter. You can sorta hear the highway still but the river is cool

Report Check-In

Super quiet, very accessible as described

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet. There are a few other people around but not packed by any means. Lots of trees so there is privacy.

Report Check-In

Very close to town for the wave lottery but surprisingly nice. A little close to the highway but not much noise at night. We sat by the river and enjoyed the evening. When the day hiker left we had the place to ourselves.

This was a great pull off for one night. It was a little muddy but the ground was frozen so that helped. Road is well traveled and not super long. No problem for almost any vehicle unless it’s muddy or snowy. It’s a bit of a tight space for larger RVs. Fit our 25’ van easy. Service was shorty but no road noise though someone drove through on what sounded like a can-am with every possible modification to make it louder around midnight. I’d still stop again.

Make sure you stop at Thunderbird if you’re heading north for breakfast. Breakfast was AMAZING

Beautiful and peaceful camping spot just off 89 and less than 5 minutes from the sand caves. There are several camping spots right around the bridge, where the sand is pretty packed and level. I had no issues with my awd rav4. The creek was low, but perfect for my dog to play in. The other campers were very quiet. It is right on an atv trail so there is traffic during daylight hours, but was extremely quiet at night. A sheriff rolled through right around dusk, didn’t bother anyone just seemed to be making sure everything was quiet. Overall awesome vibe and felt very safe.

Kanab creek is low this year so we didn’t get to swim but can verify that this still is a gem of a spot and doable with 2WD. We arrived during a wind storm and got sandblasted but now it’s 8pm, no wind and my husband is practicing his archery just outside the van. The creek is just yards away from the coordinates listed here. Turn just after the big weigh station if coming from Zion/Mt Carmel, a mile or so past the Moqui/Sand Caves. Three or four other rigs here and room for more.

After walking through, I brought my 25' trailer in to a spot by the bridge. There is some deep sand here and there so be careful. Close to town, and it's such a cute town! Spotty verizon, but it worked.

Report Check-In

Place was as described and worked great for two nights. Quiet, deer visits, all good.

Report Check-In

Decent spot. High clearance helps . Sand was well packed on the date we were there.

Report Check-In

Stayed on a Sat night with another class B and two roof tenters. There is some soft sand. I stayed near the bridge without problems. 2-3 bars ATT service. Area was busy with quad traffic and day hikers. Some shade.

Report Check-In

Wish we could have camped here but our short bus got stuck not to many comments about how much sand there is. Need fwd for sure.

Report Check-In

The road is a bit rutted but we managed in a transit. Only a few spots for 2wd cars. Some roads require high clearance. Positioned close to the main road so there’s a bit of noise. We slept next to the bridge and it was flat and comfortable.

nice spot. river is not for swimming. but quit. sandy

Report Check-In

Manage to reach several spots with a 25ft without any problem. It was sandy and dry. River and pit fire .

as described. quiet, nice place for a night.

Report Check-In

Very nice place. But the lotterie isn't in the BLM Center. It is in the Kanab Visitor Center in.

Report Check-In

This is a great spot when near Kanab. It's hot now and soaking in the river really helped. we saw 2 other people/vehicles before dark. GSM cell service is good (T-mobile and AT&T). Can hear highway but its not too busy anf get quiet at night. campsites were clean.

Report Check-In

Been there to sleep but change our mind.... a lot of glass from broken beer bottles and at 8pm, people with 4wheels doing trails! We've been at the city park (on this app), north of Kanab.

Report Check-In

Nice free campsite near to the toad but quiet.
Fire rings.

Report Check-In

lots of little spots, well positioned hill across the road that gives shadow in the morning.

Report Check-In

Perfect place! Just 200m from the road. If dry good for all if wet some places aren't even good.

Report Check-In

Many spots to choose, close to the river, very nice. A bit close to the highway, but c'mon it's free.

Report Check-In

Great area with several possible sites. After rain or snow, the mud can be very thick and it is easy to get stuck if you don't have 4wd but it's not too bad if you are careful.

Report Check-In

Very nice at a river. After sign for Hog canyon. ok for all cars
