Nice spot. At first, we wanted to go at the wild free camping nearby but really dirty place, look not nice at all. Yasser from los ranchos propose to stay on his parking lot for 100C, toilets and tap water to fill our tank. we didn't take a tour and it seems you don't have to at all. nice breeze.

came to camp and we were rushed by a few employees to park and take the tour. we didn't want the $10/pp tour and they didn't give us an option for camping only. we left.

Stayed here for one night only because we had to keep moving on (Christmas plans). We stumbled across it by looking for a lake front without the flies. There are a few but nothing like the rest of the shoreline. We were reluctant to pull in because of the amount to tourists guys ready to jump on you but we thought we'd check this corner spot out. The guy originally wanted $5 and we haven't paid for a spot yet so hesitated, asked him what services he had and then agreed 100 Cordobas. In fairness it's well worth it. Shaded flat spot right next to lake, easy access to swim also at the water edge. There's also toilets (open 24hrs for us), a sink and also a hose (manguera) if you want to shower. We didn't eat at the restaurant but there was a steady flow of people and also good spot to do some laundry as there's a long strong line in the sun and good wind by the lake. Overall it was a really pleasant spot and could've stayed a few more days. There's zero shops or mini tiendas after dark so make sure you have everything you need before arriving to save the journey off again. :-)

We really liked this place. Great view. Close to the restaurant. We had it really quiet. Could use the bathroom and fill up our water. Payed 5$ per night including the bathroom. Really frendly guard (don't start a discussion about religion... 😜). Save place. The only downside... we had a lot of flys... but they say it is not allways like that.
You could tours to the island there.

well, we did not really like this place. it seemed as hot as in Granada, the guy wanted besides the 5$ for the night 10C for using the bathrooms. we didn't pay that and negotiated, he said OK, but this morning the banos were closed until 8.30pm until he arrived. also, no WiFi or at least they said there is none...
worst part: there is and disco near by which made it really hard to sleep until around 2 a.m. !
better stay somewhere else...

Parked in the parking lot of the restaurant closest to the lake. $5 for the night and secure with a security guard. We could use the restaurant's baños and wifi. Lake view and tranquil. Nice to have a cooler night in Granada.
