Description

A waterfall worth a look, if you like that sort of thing. You can drive across the river here at the falls, but we didn't (too far for us to dare, but we saw a VW Ute do it). Either approach to this spot, from the roads East or West, is good for the view. The road on the west is probably easier as there are no water crossibgs. The eastern road is the one we took and it is about 20km of farm roads of fair quality. Sometimes muddy and rocky, but easy enough. There is either a 30m river crossing or a 20m crossing (depending on the road you take) to get here on the eastern side which we did fine in our 2x4 4runner. Free.

Beautiful place. When we passed the water level was low and we crossed easily. We saw a low common car from a local resident crossing the river without problems.
A little further on is the Passo do S Waterfall. Very pretty.

Lindo lugar. Quando passamos o nível da água estava baixo e cruzamos facilmente. Vimos um carro baixo e comum de um morador local atravessando o rio sem problemas.
Um pouco mais a frente está a Cachoeira do Passo do S. Muito bonita.

Gorgeous waterfall and river. We crossed the river after seeing other SUV do it. The water level was relatively low. And there were markers to follow. A couple of short hikes on both sides of the river will take you to view points of the waterfalls. Definitely worth checking it out.

Let me know if anyone has the balls to cross here in a normal car without zoneknowledge. I chickened out in our old ford Escort. Probably a wise choice haha. Nice waterfall but if you cant cross you need to drive a good piece back on a somewhat hard road and there is a big no camping sign. With a 4x4 this is a dream destination.

We rolled up here just at sunset and it was Beautiful! The west side of the river sayes no camping bit the east side doesn't. Nice sounds of the waterfall to fall asleep to.
