Nice place to spend a sunny day with beautiful views, little craft market, games for kids and restaurants. You can’t drive up there, you have to park a little bit down and take a transport to climb the very steep road. Parking lot is 30Q for the day and 20Q more if you want to spend the night. Transportation+Entrance is 50Q pp.

We took this little street from Guatemala City to Antigua. It is a narrow and steep road, especially the two hairpin curve! Strong engine and very good brakes highly recommended!!

They no longer allow vehicles to the top. There is a parking lot about 100m shy of the compound which charges Q20. A parking lot near the base is Q15.

Nice views. Friendly people. Lacking in hobbits.

New comment : we made it up the hill, but down the hill we severely damaged our camper with a tree. If you want to come just leave your camper/rig in the parking lot and someone from Hobbitenango will bring you up!

F-250 with a Truck-Camper 4x4 made it up the hill. Beautiful place, completely worth it! 75Q p/p to stay in our vehicles. Outside food after 6 when the restaurant closes is allowed
