Description

(Update: limit 2 vehicles max) By far the most popular place for overlanders to stop in Lima. Room for 3-4 cars in the parking area, which is also part of the common area. Tent camping on ground not permitted. Good kitchen. Very fancy supermarket 5 minutes up the street. Continental breakfast included (bread and coffee). Big rigs fit, but best to make a reservation to make sure there is space. They take the parking space reservations very seriously.

The phone number is out of service and according to the sister hostel in Cusco this place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

Apparently the hostel is closed atm (only since a week) and if you call they tell you that they don’t know for how long...

Report Check-In

25pp is a bit expensive, but stayed here because we had friends visiting so they stayed in the dorm. Bathroom was clean, tp, and hot showers. You can use kitchen, many communal lounge areas, and breakfast is included. WiFi was ok. Safe and near many restaurants. Only 2 spots so make a reservation ‭+51 1 242 3008‬.

Only place for 2 small or 1 big RV
You stand in the middle of the hostel.
Nice bathroom.
Good for exploring Lima.

Price still the same

Report Check-In

Now only permit 2 vehicles maximum. We hoped to stay here but there are already 2 overlanders staying for a couple weeks. He said due to fire regulations, 2 vehicles max. We suggest having a backup plan for staying in Lima.

Report Check-In

In our opinion, to Overlanders, really is the best place to stay in Lima. Is very importante to contact to confirm that they have space to your RV by the date that you wait. Specialy to big RV. You can do reserve and they are very professionals with it. Space only to one big RV and other small van. See photos. Not possible to discharge any water. But you can fill your water tank.

Report Check-In

Great place in the middle of Miraflores. Location, Location, Location. very cheap compared to all other hotels with parking options in Lima in similar Barrios.
we could bring our car to service and check into a room. staff was very friendly. CALL AHEAD if there is enough space or make a reservation as only a few cars fit in.

Report Check-In

Nice facilities and hot water as mentioned, and very friendly staff. However, dreadfully slow wifi and "breakfast" is two pieces of bread and coffee. So you're pretty much paying for location here, and that costs 25 s/person.

Report Check-In

Very expensive place ! 25 sol/pp incluyed kids ! So we payed 125 soles for a family with 3 kids(10,7,6) ! We think the don’t want iOverlander for more longer Time. They are built other rooms on the park for overlander ... breakfast inclued in the price is juste 2 breads and coffee or thea butter and one sort of jam... for the same price we have a room and a buffet in a such Nice old hostel in the center of Arequipa !

Report Check-In

Great fast wifi, immaculately clean facilities, HOT showers, free coffee/tea/bread in the AM.

Outstanding location in the heart of Miraflores. We were there a week and didn't have too much trouble with noise. The hostel seemed to quiet down by 10pm everyday and the neighborhood is quiet. The odd car alarm or barking dog, but if you can't handle that, the rest of Latin America just might kill you.

Not a ton of space so make sure and reserve ahead. No real width or height restriction, just limited space in the courtyard.

Report Check-In

No dogs allowed.. for no reason at all. So we went to Barrancon!

Report Check-In

PLEASE WEAR EAR PLUGS hahaha it is VERY NOISY

Current WhatsApp for booking : +51 947 450 021.
Shower water still cold in busy hours.

Report Check-In

Reservation is critical. Only room for 4 vehicles. Tight fit in any case and sometimes have to be around to back out and let first row out. Wifi can be slow at peak times. Facilities and bathrooms are cleaned and maintained. Friday and Saturday nights can be loud; otherwise normal city noise. Close to restaurants and grocery store. Hot water in showers only.

Report Check-In

Perfect location. Fairly quiet, thanks to the cold and rainy weather. You are camping on the terrace of the hostal, so expect more noise during sunnier times. Showers are hot and clean. 20 soles pp and 7 for electricity. Room for 4 cars, so make a reservation if you want to be sure. An excellent choice if you want or need to be in Lima.

Report Check-In

We had a very good stay and time with other travelers at this conveniently located hostel. Space is a little tight. 3-5 cars max capacity depending on vehicle sizes. We thought the staff was friendly. Wi-Fi was average during the day when most people were using it. Faster late at night and early mornings. Hot showers, shared kitchen, free tea, 20 soles per person, per day; a good price considering the location in a such a big city, its cleanliness and what they offer. Overall a very good option when staying in Lima. Please remember to call in advance to make reservations. We saw a several travelers that arrived without reservations when the hostel was full.

Report Check-In

Great option if you want to stay near Miraflores. Space for about 4 rigs so call ahead to reserve. Very hot showers. Friendly staff. OK Wifi. Nice bakery 1 block away. Normal city noise didn't bother us. Recommended.

Report Check-In

we arrived late (20h) and it was full (4 cars).
too bad because it seems very Nice. the double room is 90S by the way. we left.

nous sommes arrivés tard (20h) et c'était plein (4 voitures). dommage pcq ça avait l'air sympa. au fait les chambres doubles coûtent 90S. nous ne sommes pas restés.

Report Check-In

Not our liking...
20 Sol pp, for electricity in the camper another 10 Sol per day.
Portable water? First lady said its of bad quality, the second did not know and the third said the quality is all the same on the property.
WiFi? There are two basement rooms. In one was no signal, in the other it was good. In our truck as well, but really fast was it only very early in the morning.
Noise? There are many streets in Miraflores with less noise.
Hot showers? Yes indeed! ;-)
We have a broken solar panel cable and hoped to get some help there (address of an expert or a call to someone who would have a look) but the only help we got was google with a street name where we might find some shops.

For 40 (50) Sol we had expected more. For us street parking is just as good, actually better. Moved after one night back to Barranco to the amazingly quiet spot at the malecón.

Report Check-In

Definitely a great spot to stay if you need/want to be in the city. We had some work done at autolac and it took a full day so we ended up here for two nights. It's about an hour drive to the mechanic with traffic. Hot showers, fast wifi and relatively quiet for being in the city.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for almost a month today made a reservation ahead of time. There are space for 4 vehicles in the parking lot but you will be less than a foot apart on all sides. But the location is amazing, you are in the middle of everything and the hostal itself is nice enough. The bathrooms were always spotless when we were here and there wasn't often a wait. The kitchen was kept clean as well. I was impressed with the cleanliness. I thought the staff was awesome but they don't speak English. Internet was good when people were sleep or early, otherwise it was just ok. Definitely write or call ahead to make a reservation and try to come before dark as if there are other overlanders, others may need to move to get you in. Also it's a hostal in the middle of the city, soft sided campers may be annoyed by the noise. We weren't. One of our fav city camps.

Report Check-In

Nous y avons passé 4 nuits. Trés bien placé et endroit sympa. Il n'y a la place que pour 4 camping-cars, il vaut mieux réserver. 40s+10s pour l'électricité par nuit.

Report Check-In

Yard belonging to hostel with cramped space for four vehicles at noisy street. Secure environment, cozy place. PRN 40 (2 adults, camper).

Report Check-In

20 S pp without breakfast. For warm shower you have to stand up early or try around midday otherwise cold. Noise (traffic, people, bell) was okay for us. Even managed 5 cars in the lot and had a nice BBQ. Be aware that checkout is at noon. Wifi faster then average.

Report Check-In

Too clean bathrooms, but there are few (always you have to wait). Wifi is ok and the people are friendly, but it's too noisy (and the radio at the parking is always on)

Report Check-In

Great location for down-town Miraflores, excellent bathrooms/showers, fast wifi. Naturally in the city, it's not very peaceful. Some staff are friendly but others struggle to raise a smile. S20pp. We rarely need electric plug-in as we have good solar panels, but Lima is often overcast and we needed to plug in after 24hrs (S10 pd).

Report Check-In

Good place to camp when staying in Lima. Rather small, but big enough to city camp. Facilities are good, showers hot and a kitchen is available. Negatives: quite noisy (and I mean not only because of the traffic). Otherwise, a good stop to do the periodically cleaning.

Report Check-In

We arrive at 3 or 4pm with auf big Car and 4 People.

Report Check-In

Nice place, easy to get stuck. Camping is a bit noisy since guests have to buzz every time they want in or out but not too bad. Good location. Friendly staff. Avoid the grocery store up the street and go to Wong's by the park for slightly better prices.

Report Check-In

Stayed two nights : first night hostel was booked out so in our RV (20s pp+ 10s electricity) Next day 90s private bath room. Suggest take room as its noisy in the parking lot. Clean place, kitchen good with gas burners n microwave. Strong wifi in parking lot. Central location with great seafood restaurant and all American chains nearby. Good to get some city life after all wild camping n more to come :)

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay, clean and friendly staff. It is loud though until the backpackers go to sleep..
They don't allow dogs anymore but still took us in with our 3 doggies for one night.

Report Check-In

Overrated. Stayed here twice before both camping and private. Third time arrived late (5p driving all day) to find they gave my 'reservation' to someone else. Very unprofessional. Fortunately there are lots of alternatives in Lima.

Report Check-In

its every time a good place. perfect location , clean, nice audience, good price but max. 3 places for cars. Reservation is better.

Report Check-In

Great central location. There was room in car park for our 24 foot RV and 3 smaller vehicles also. (we contacted them beforehand to reserve space).

Report Check-In

Can reserve on line and with some maneuvering, can fit 5 small vehicles in. The hostal was full when we were there and was quite noisy until the early hours. Very convenient.

Report Check-In

nice big rooms and place to park and neighborhood but they DO NOT ALLOW TENT CAMPING

Report Check-In

Second time staying here. Nice to have a place in Lima to park the camper. No hot water this time as it's busy.

Report Check-In

Very unfriendly welcome and noisy at night. There's a building construction crossing the street. Expensive for what it is... S/40 night. Extra S/10 for electricity.

Report Check-In

The young girl who received us was really unfriendly. She said to us that kids pay the same price as adults. 60 soles for the 3 of us + 10 soles for electricity, that's a rip off. We headed off to the malecon which is actually very nice.

Report Check-In

Excelente lugar ...!!! Puedes entrar con tu camión , pero debes solicitar reserva con anticipación , ya que es estrecho.

Report Check-In

Was a perfect place to stay in Lima. Make sure to make a reservation at least 1 week in advance. Location is perfect. We did a week of Spanish lessons at Perwayna School, and that was fantastic as well

Report Check-In

We stayed here for a week, both camping and in a private double room when the truck was at Firewheels getting some work done. Clean bathrooms, hot shower, friendly staff, convenient location. Camping was 20 soles per person, breakfast not included. The private double was 70 soles total, breakfast included.

Report Check-In

Now 20 S. pp without breakfast !

Report Check-In

Still 20 soles/person. Does not include breakfast.

Report Check-In

Second time we stay here, now 20 soles per person but supposably with breakfast (last time it was without...). Very nice, relaxing, good atmosphere

Report Check-In

I would definitely recommend emailing ahead to reserve a spot. Great location and nice hub to meet other overlanders. Electricity extra 10 soles per night.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights. Excellent location. Facilities are good too. Noisy at night (as you might expect at a hostel in a major city). Paid $18 Soles per person (over 5 years old) per night.

Report Check-In

We stayed for three nights and was lucky to get the last spot. We emailed ahead to reserve a space but never got a reply. They did write us in for the next few nights. Parking is fine for smaller rigs, flat and mostly quiet except for the ringing bell to access the exterior gate. We paid 18 soles per adult. Bathrooms pretty clean, with plenty of nice, hot water! wifi average to good speed.

Report Check-In

Place only for 3 mobilehomes. Its very closely spaced. And although the have only 3 bathrooms its clean, hot shower and has WiFi.

Report Check-In

I just arrived here and was told unfortunately you cannot tent camp! :(

Report Check-In

Nice Hostel in Miraflores, Camping possible in their court, 18 PEN/person, hot showers, electricity 10 PEN extra, fast wifi, 5 minutes to supermarket. Very good bakery close to the hostel (La Mora). Just a little loud due to other guests and traffic outside, but we're in a city center...

Report Check-In

Only room for about four rigs, this is a nice Hostel in a great neighborhood of Lima. Great access to restaurants and bars and the beach. A bit loud at times. 18S per person per night for camping. 10S extra if you want power to your rig. Email in advance about space if you can. We got lucky, but there were full the rest of the time we were there.

Report Check-In

- 18 Soles per person
- electricity hookup for your camper is additional 10 Soles, but there was an extension cord in the yard where you can plug a laptop for no additional cost
- camped in a little yard in front of the hostel (place for 4 regular cars, no height limit)
- foosball, table tennis, darts, tables at the yard
- they are used to car campers here, there were some others from Argentina and Brazil here
- fast wifi, probably the fastest we had between Colombia and Peru
- hot showers (just three for the whole hostel, expect queues in the morning
- probably the most upscale neighborhood in Lima, looks quite modern
- very well stocked supermarket in walking distance (3 blocks north), restaurants, etc.

Report Check-In

Famous with overlanders (4-5 small overlanders will have place there). Central in Miraflores (good area to stay).

Price:36 Soles

Report Check-In

We prefered staying at Club Germania, but due our friends were here, we changed for three nights to this Hostel. It's ok, but pricey ...

Report Check-In

Very, very loud staying for the night, toilet and showers, shared kitchen. Faucet. WiFi. Soles 36./Night or U $ 12./Night

Report Check-In

Miraflores, Av. Bolognesi/Francia

Report Check-In

By far the most popular place for overlanders to stop in Lima. Room for 3-4 cars in the parking area, which is also part of the common area. You can tent camp on the pavement, but we opted not to because space was a problem and it can be fairly loud at night. We got a room instead. Good kitchen and a grill, with a very fancy (and slightly pricey) supermarket 5 minutes up the street. Continental breakfast included.

Report Check-In

s/15 per person. Wifi / water / elec / hot shower

Report Check-In

Camping in the parking lot of the hostel, right next to the outdoor area and table tennis. Space for two large or three smaller RVs. Very clean bathrooms with excellent hot showers. Book Exchange, DVDs, kitchen for use. Quite noisy due to the road. The hostel makes a very clean and well run impression. It is located in the exquisite Miraflores district. Five minutes walk to the coast, 15 minutes to the shopping mall Larcomar or the Plaza Kennedy.

It costs 1.20 Soles/person get to Bolognesi by Bus or 13 Soles to the historic center by taxi.

($ 6 and 18 Soles / person. Because of the exchange rate for us was the payment in US dollars cheaper.)

Report Check-In

Large hostel in Miraflores district of Lima. Power and water are available. Toilets, hot showers and a kitchen. There is only space for around 2 large campers 1 large and 2 small. Can be noisy at night as there are tables right next to parking area where people drink and smoke until late. Cost S30 per night.
