Quiet area close to the river. Because of mechanical problems I couldn't reach Huaraz and stayed here for the night. Beautiful landscape. Free. No facilities. Friendly people.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Still a good spot for an overnight on the way from/to Huarez on Highway 14A if you a travelling in a camper or van. No frills! Quiet at night! Friendly people! Elevation is around 1.300m.
Report Check-InThe spot in the picture is now covered with construction fill, sand and rock piles, for new construction. We parked on the left right next to the water irrigation channels. More mototaxis and cars than anticipated in the night. I don’t recommend this site any longer. Maybe in town next to the square like another person recommended.
Report Check-InPariacoto village. Parked in the square opposite the church. Police said it was fine to sleep in big rig.
The road condition is perfect all the way from the coast to Huaraz, two narrowish lanes wide. Really enjoyable drive, stunning views and pretty villages.
Soooo good to leave the filthy coast road.
Pretty spot if facing the view; otherwise dirty. We stopped so driver could take a nap before continuing on. Lady doing laundry and taking a bath in the river. Lots of people coming and going. Busy place in day time but everyone friendly.
