very nice people. Ask don Luis for a walk in the mittle of the jungle. With him you can see San Rafael fall in another view.
Report Check-InThis is technically the bus/overflow parking area for the national park. The rangers didn't want us staying down below in the main parking lot and suggested this place. We moved early the next morning so it wasn't an issue to be in the bus zone but they might ask you to move if parking areas are full.
Also, even though the rangers asked us to move here, they also said they weren't very happy with people camping just below the volcano as it was pretty active. So be aware that they may nix camping in the area altogether. We have a pickup truck with camper. Room for big rigs.
Report Check-InNothing amazing, but after a long day driving from San Augustin (colombia) we got in late and this spot worked well. Very quiet. We didn't talk to anyone.
No facilities, free.
Report Check-InJust a small flat terrain off the road, nothing special but quiet & good overnight stop if you want to walk to the waterfall the next day. The bathrooms of the registration center remained open at night but we
asked upfront if we could use them. Some mosquitos in the evening. Friendly neighbour to whom we gave our organic waste for her animals.
