Description

Campsite and Hostal owned and operated by Quique, situated between Rodadero and Salguero, with walking access to Playa Salguero. Individual pitches with limited shade. 110v power, WiFi and good 3G celular coverage. Quique charged us $10.000 COP for 2 people, per night...price was lower as he loves old VWs like ours, usually per person, per night. Discounts for longer stays. 2 rooms available for 6 persons. Showers, toilets etc. etc. Logs for sale ($5.000COP) for BBQs etc. Plenty of local shops and restaurants. A pair of large supermarkets (Ara and Rapi98mercar) nearby.

Latest Check-Ins

We came here wanting to stay for a few nights but we left after one. Some flat places but there are tall buildings all around. The toilets didn’t flush, there was not water in the sink to wash your hands, no toilet paper either. The beach was a few blocks away walking in a busy street

Report Check-In

Espero não me decepcionar.

This place is surrounded by buildings, very noisy and durty OK for one night. And now 20000 per person.

The name is Camping Cantamar. Perfect and I would say only place for big rigs to stay in Santa Marta. Electricity and toilets. Very close to a bech. They charged us 30.000 colombian pesos for the night for the car (us$6).

Report Check-In

It's called Camping Cantamar
When I was checking in after arrival hours Carlos charged $ 20,000 if I only stayed one night and finally accepted 15,000 as mentioned above over the phone.
Includes Wifi, energy and option to use the bathroom and shower
They have access to the beach but the path has garbage and looks unsafe.

The place is surrounded by large buildings and it was windy had sleep with the lullaby of the wind shaking my motor home
I felt that security is the same as in the street, Carlos recommended closing everything very well ... and the next day another boy told me about a robbery in the nearest streets, I saw guards in front of the building and police officers patrolling.
As I did not feel safe to visit the beach, I preferred to leave

Carlos seemed friendly. Bathrooms basic but clean. No sink. Cold shower. Electric and WiFi ok. 20,000 ppn seemed high but we needed a place to rest. Some sketchy people living there in tents with 2 Pitt bulls on very short chains. We left early before we didn’t feel it was a safe place for our dogs. Carlos helped us find a great mechanic. Would return if no pittbulls were there.

Nice motorhome stop here in Santa Marta. The owners Carlos and Patricia are very welcoming and kind. Good bathrooms, showers and electric connection. Very close to the beautiful city downtown area with lots of very good restaurants and coffee places. All clean and well maintained. There is an access to the beach by the lateral street.

Report Check-In

Dirty toilets and showers, not looking very safe, beach is in trash, river near have bad smell.

Report Check-In

Un buen lugar, duchas, baños, wi fi a pasos del mar, muy tranquilo durante el día y la noche y bastante accesible. ideal para parar en Rodadero. quedamos dos noche acá.

Report Check-In

The place still exists, but the big Hotels are already very close by.
Price was still 30.000 for two people.
Facilities are very simple but clean.

Report Check-In

As said before, good for an overnight stay. Clean flat grounds. Bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. We didn't use them. $15,000/person includes electricity. Can't swim at the beach, but there is a spot close by.

Report Check-In

WORST VALUE FOR MONEY EVER!!! They asked 20.000 p/p but we agreed on 15.000 because there is no wi-fi. Also the bathrooms are barely rooms. Don't waste your time and money in this awful camping. Look for something else around, just don't bother coming here.

Report Check-In

This place is fine for one night. The spots are very level and the campground is clean. The bathrooms need some work so don't expect anything special. No wifi when we went. They are now trying to charge $20cop but we negotiated $15COP because we didn't need power.

Report Check-In

we started the night at the free camping nearby but we were told that wasn't safe so we moved to the pay camping. Definitely overpriced for minimal amenities but at that hour we didn't have any other options...

Report Check-In

Very basic, they ask for CP15,000 per person but you can negotiate CP10,000 per person for two in our experience.

Report Check-In

Disapointing. Don't have wifi, even dont have a sink to wash teeth. Expensive for what it is. Many local restaurants ans bars around

Report Check-In

more expensive campsite 20000 per person for no shower and no toilet. better at the campsite past drive and directly by the sea in vain are! the campsite will re-adapted.
