Description

The parking area of the Administrative Headquarters and Visitor Center is one of the few place, where it is officially allowed to stay overnight in a motorhome. The other four places are at the Pudeto Cafeteria, the Laguna Amarga entrance and Ranger Station, the Lago Sarmiento entrance and Ranger Station as well as the Grey Ranger Station. Or the short version: everywhere you have access to a building with toilets during the night.

We had mobile connection with entel.

Accès aux toilettes 24/24h, papier + savon. Possibilité de se garer un peu en retrait du parking. Calme.

Report Check-In

Good place to spend the night, no issues. The toilets are not very modern but clean. No trash. Not much wind protection and it was a bit windy. During the night there were 5-6 other vehicles.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for all of our stay in the park. Toilets are open all night but the guard told us that the reason they are closing all of the other spots for campers and is because they were leaving the toilets dirty (the all night toilets) and making it difficult for the cleaners to look after the premises, especially when you have lots of people arriving early for walks. That’s why in the other visitor centres (for example the welcome centre where you start the mirador Torres walk) the toilets are now closed in the evening. So please everyone, look after the space and let’s start to build the camper reputation back up so they don’t continue to restrict the access. Thank you :) (also the park is beautiful and you should try and do the mirador torres walk, it’s a long one but amazing to see the three towers at the end!)

One of the few places you are officially allowed to camp! Bathrooms stay open all night. Only other free options inside the park from season 2023/2024 are at Guarderia Pingo (near Lago Grey)or Porteria Serrano. You can also go to camping Pehoe (recommended) or expensive parking lot near Centro Las Torres.

Report Check-In

Spent one night here, only us and another van. We arrived around 8pm so no one was there. Bathrooms open 24/7. We stayed here after doing Mirador Condor and the next morning we headed for Mirador Grey - both much recommended!!

Report Check-In

Note!! The ranger at administration building told us since 2023 it is NOT allowed for motorhomes to park on this and other sites anymore. Only 2-3 places are officially allowed: camping Pehoe, Guarderia Lago Azul, and Parking Lago Grey with high exception. We stayed at other spots nevertheless and we were not sent away.

Report Check-In

Friendly rangers confirmed we could stay here (and gave us some fruits). The bathroom (no shower) are open 24/24, the parking is large, we stay in the grass area close to the water. The rangers left around 20h30-21h, and come back at 8h00.
One more thing : there are lots of mosquitoes here, especially late in the day.

Local seguro para passar a noite, há banheiros abertos 24h, porém sem chuveiros. não é possivel armar barraca, só é permitido dormir no carro/camper/motorhome

Good place to spend the night, really peaceful but not protection from the wind. Toilets are open all night and there's one socket inside to charge. Some tables to rest from the wind, hidden by the offices. Beautiful view on Torres del Paine, we got a nice sunrise. The Visitor Center is closed at the moment (covid time). The first wardens arrived a bit before 8AM, no traffic at night.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night in our campervan. As stated, the bathrooms are open all night. There is no longer an open wifi. There were some locals (I assume park employees) sitting out using the wifi in the evening but when I asked them about the password they played dumb. No cover from the wind and gets noisy early in the morning. It was an ok place to stay for one night.

Report Check-In
