Expensive. prices and procedure as per last entry. but when you go by yourself to waterfall or to lake shore the local guard wants 20usd pp activity fee.

there is only 1 toll gate on the way to Lake Natron but different fees.

Local Government fees:
per Person: 30$ + VAT
per Car (foreig registered): 20$
payable in cash only ($ or TSH)

plus you need a permit of the Wildlife Service which you have to get in advance in Arusha. If you didn't there is an officer at the gate who charge you:
Entry Fee per Person per Night: 10$ + VAT
Camping Tax pP per night: 20$
Vehicle Fee per night: 15$ (at least depending of weight)
These fees must be payed in order of the officer at your campsite.

The campsite itself its normally 10$. for the activities they charge 20$ pP per day for the guide.

So it is an expensive experience.

unfortunately the road is going to be paved. that will change the whole area deeply and probabely also the fees. in the future all the trucks will take this road...

Road toll (village fee) is $35 pp, paid in cash at the gate. They also checked if we had the WMA permit - this one must be arranged in advance, cannot be paid at the gate. It costs $30 pp per night, plus $6 per vehicle.

They have only one toll port, the others are closed down to speed up the drive. We paid 90 dollars for 2 persons and 1 car.
