A mix of State Trust land/private property. Easy, fun SUV trail that climbs to a high desert overlook. Turn onto Camino Rio Rd, cross Cattle grate, turn left. Extra-large staging area around hillside to the left, for dispursed camping. Train trestle easily seen from the area...we drove our High roof Ford Transit & Jeep through. Careful with brush & sandy wash out...but easy to travel past it. Pretty canyon narrows back farther along wash.
