As there wasn't any places recorded in the centre of Bandera we added this one. Flat large spot on the side of the road near playground for children and public barbecues. Few minutes walk to main city attractions and shops. Very calm near the river. Very few cars passing by. Deer and squirrels all around.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Quiet spot in front of the skate park. We spent 3 nights here without any problem. Do not park inside the park as is closes at night.

Report Check-InYou can definitely not stay inside the park overnight because they lock the gate. And in the morning they charge admission (at least on Saturdays, that's when we were there). You could maybe park down at the end near the Boys and Girls club. However, it's a beautiful little park as described! There was a porta potty and a place for charcoal grilling, and a dumpster. The playground has lots of bars if you want to work out in the morning!

Report Check-InSide of a road outside a city park. Playground for kids and lots of picnic tables with barbecue pits right inside the park. The park is on a river and there were lots of people swimming in the river and canoeing. The park was really busy during the day but it closed at 8 and was quiet after that with minimal cars driving by. The park is patrolled by the Marshall so felt safe and we were not bothered. Stayed one night in a 40ft bus. Another van stayed overnight as well. Short walk to downtown.
